Falcons out here giving out 2026 first rounders in what looks like a hell of a QB draft, and we're out here sticking for FCS linemen.

That... that hurts me a little. I'd take some day 2 linemen if I could pick up that 2026 first.
You're mopey. What if we just drafted a 10 year lineman?

Making judgments on a player based on the school he went to.

That's what's not fair, Maelstrom.

IDK what he's going to turn out to be in the end, but a bunch of people thought him to be the best IOLman in the draft. At the Senior Bowl he wowed, as he did at the combine. Like I said, I don't know how it will turn out, but JS picked the best OLman on the board when all we've been complaining about around here is how much that was a position of need for us. And now, having put that stake in the ground, we have tremendous flexibility on day two of the draft.

Have a drink.

Level of competition is a big consideration on every non-special teamer scouting report out there. It matters a lot when evaluating players.

I would like a beefier Center then what we have, teams tee off up the middle on us.

I'm not gonna have a drink. I'm just talking ball.

His senior bowl reps flashed some anchor issues too, but good recovery. The combine, sure. That's fair. Pretty good agility.

And of course the Eagles get the LB we needed. They are building a beast of a D

The FCS snipe for one. He was pretty universally seen as a top 10-20 pick at a position of HUGE need.

Ever since the Geno/Bradford thing went down you haven't been the same. Lots of negativity. Just looking out for you brother (y)
Level of competition is massive in OL evaluation and NDSU has produced a string of OL busts recently. They aren't as battle tested and it makes the projection to the NFL more challenging - not to mention the transition.

His anchor is rough, he's grabby... I just see a center who hasn't played much center. He needs to strengthen his lower body badly.

I'm openly acknowledging that they should get the guys the coaches want. I'm not in the building and I'm not an NFL OL coach or OC.

I don't like the pick. Sue me, I guess. Just putting an opinion on a message board.

Yeah, those NDSU linemen have been a mixed bag. Cody Mauch has been good for the Bucs, but Cordell Volson and Dillon Radunz have been horrific.

Wow kid needs two more surgerys, knee and other shoulder, I guess the Eagles are going to do a wait and get him healthy.

question not related to this :

Are you going to get a new Avy soon or are you going to stick with Depressed Geno?

I have to admit, I am ok with the pick. But I also think, competition you played against matters. I think I'm ok with the pick because its an area of need. But if I were the Hawks, with the way the board went I probably would not have picked this kid. I would have went defense. I think the spot the Hawks were in at 18, it was better to pick a defensive player.

I sorta thought this too. And then I remembered I’m not Mike McDonald
