Especially if they stay at 18, I do not want them to take Grey Zabel. Looks average to me and not against the strongest competition.

There aren't many players I've seen suggested for us that I'd have a huge problem with, but I would be unhappy if we took Dart or Milroe. Id be happy if Shadeur fell, but I don't see it at all with either of them. I think there's a much better chance of Darnold becoming a long-term solution than either Dart or Milroe becoming better than so-so backups.

Id be a little disappointed with Emmanwori too. His physical profile is intriguing enough where I could eventually get on board, but I don't think he's special and I'd consider him a reach at #18. I want to slam my head into a wall whenever anyone refers to him as an "enforcer" and compares him to Kam Chancellor.

I agree. I would not be thrilled with Emmanwori. And unfortunately, I could definitely see us picking him. No wide receiver at 18 either. Emmanwori or a WR that early would not line up with us wanting to be a "trenches" team.

I'm not necessarily against taking a receiver, but they'd have to be the clear BPA and it's difficult to think of many scenarios where that would be the case.

I dont want any of the QB in round 1, especially Dilroe. I also dont want a WR as I have seen in a couple of mocks.

Prefer OL obviously but if coach has his eyes on a defensive player he thinks he can make some kind of chess piece then I am fine with that.

Dart… I don’t get the first round hype. Kiffin schemed wide open receivers and he only needed to read half the field 80-90% of the time. Watch his tape against Florida, he was terrible

I would be excited for everyone except Golden and Egbuka. I would be excited for Teteroa McMillan though. He would fill a definite need at X for us.
I would be excited about Emmanwori because if we take him it will be because Mike sees him as a difference maker in his defense and he does cool stuff with his safeties.
With that kind of elite athleticism he could turn out to be an all pro difference maker for us.

-- The only thing I don't want in the first round is noise. I don't want shiny A grades, I want the "who is this LB from Utah State" (Wags). I don't want them clamoring to see us on Hard Knocks because of someone we picked. I want "he is a great guard but you don't take guards this high" (Hutch). I want "he is too lanky to play corner, he should stay at WR" (Sherman). etc.

We were praised by everyone for drafting Bustron last year, despite him not even being the better DT from his own school in that draft. Doesn't always work out.

There's a long list of players I don't want or just don't excite me.

Players I don't want: Any QB, Mike Green, Will Johnson, Nick Emmanwori, Josh Connerly Jr, Ariontae Ersery, Tetairoa McMillan, Josh Simmons

Players that wouldn't excite me: Mykel Williams, Donovan Ezeiruaku, Grey Zabel (But I wouldn't mind it, just hard to get excited about it)

This thread is great for one major reason. It is giving us a blue print of who among us on .net might have the biggest meltdown on Thursday. I'll only meltdown if they draft Sheduer Sanders. I don't want Deion anywhere near this team.

Yeah,

There aren't many I would hate. Even though I think Kenneth Grant and Nick Emmanworri are 2nd round players, I wouldn't hate them. They'll have roles on this team. Clear roles.

Even Milroe, I get. We have four day 2 picks. You can gamble if you want.
