John pivots like a point guard. He always finds a way to make the best of it and now he’s replaced his qb and wr and fixed his cap and now we’re back in the drivers seat and scary. It doesn’t matter what the problem is, no draft picks watch this, oh my qb wants out, bye bye, oh my qb wants out again bye bye, geno was better than what Russ became and now watch Darnold surpass Geno. Even when he makes mistakes he fixes it (Percy). Schneider has a brass pair and will take his swing. I like him as our GM

An offense line designed under the Schneide doctrine. In our case, a line totally consist of players scouted, picked,, by Schneider and coached by a coach hand picked by Schneider.

Man…I heard him say he likes the young guys we have up front.

But still alluded to looking at deficiencies.

Most O-linemen take a few years before they mature into their roles. Call me crazy but, we have a few pieces that I suspect will be very productive this season.

There’s a few WRs I’d take if they are there at 18. But, I wouldn’t be mad to pick up at least THREE IOL this draft. Even if that means bypassing ‘shiny’ for a mauler or two up front.

Agree with it or not, John is never going to be down for a rebuild. Let's hope we can break the cycle of mediocrity.

Most NFL trench players need a year of NFL weight training to really take off so this is not unheard of. The problem is that I think JS is over estimating the talent the roster has along the interior OL.

We’ve done pretty well in FA period and now have 10 picks. What’s he going to do, we can’t have 10 rookies, so you know trades are coming.

I think JS intends to draft ten players because that is how you control cap costs. The problem is JS like to draft skill positions and hopefully he doesn't ignore the trenches.

I think a trade up in the second is a possibility this year. A trade down in the first is also on the table imo.

I'm at the 'need to see results' stage.

We knew what our weaknesses were. We then made moves to create more weaknesses.
But we rolled the dice on some players that were often injured, in the hope they can produce again like when healthy.

We went with a backup QB in the past, and it worked out pretty well for us (Geno), so we decided to try it again. Anyone's guess whether that works.

The problem I have is the massive amount of uncertainty. We filled holes with maybes. Some might work out. But it feels like the kind of moves an 8-8 team makes. Is that good enough? Who knows.

I agree I’d like to see some results, but last year seemed like they were making it up as they went along and making major adjustments on the fly and they still won ten games. We had to reload a little so I have some space for more adjustments but I’m trusting the changes I see

Let's not get carried away. With the exception of Ernest Jones (nice do), all JS has done so far is plug holes before the draft. Well done, but we haven't fixed the O-Line, or made any kind of splash.

One thing that rankles me a bit is this thought that IOL is our only concern. I'm not sold on our tackles yet. Take Lucas. This guy had the most opaque and mysterious knee injury I can remember. Usually its a torn ACL, ruptured achilles, damaged pantellar or meniscus, something you can gauge a recover time for. I never knew what his injury was, and, correct me if I'm wrong, I never heard anything conclusive about it from him or the team. There was a LOT of smoke that it was a chronic knee problem that was never going to really heal, but something to be managed. There was never any denial about this, as far as i know.

As for Cross, as far as my eyes can tell, he's only proven to be an average at best LT.

Point being, it's not just the IOL to me, at least as of now. The whole thing is still a question mark for me.

Who in free agency is that perfect solution exactly? Who should they have brought in? Russ? Rodgers? Fields? Like who? They brought in the guy that made the most sense and has potential to be very good (and yes he was very good last year). That's a good job by JS. Darnold didn't have to come here but JS got him and and on a good contract.

They got draft picks for the guys who wanted out so thats a job well done. No one was going to be giving up picks for Geno 3 years ago. A second for DK is pretty good considering his contract. What else did you think he should have done? We haven't even seen what happens in the draft yet either.
