With the Giants and Stealers
needing a QB, could a cheap QB with experience be of any value. I'd take a late round pick. Any thoughts?

Maybe? They did trade for him last year and heās still on his rookie contract so heās a back up in place for two more seasons at least. With the Giants and Stealersneeding a QB, could a cheap QB with experience be of any value. I'd take a late round pick. Any thoughts?
To be fair it's mostly Toffe making bitter posts about Howell and JS.He's nice to have as a backup
The hyperbole around him being unusable trash has become a runaway train of nonsense
Not quite "Bobo is a god" territory but close![]()
Yes, good point. I guess my thought was taking a QB in the draft and letting them learn from SD. Also, seeing the slim pickings left at QB I thought a team might want a guy that has been starter and knows what to expect from defenses in the NFL.Anyone can be traded without a no-trade clause.
You left out Russell Wilson,Assuming Rodgers goes to Pittsburg, only the Giants, Browns, and Titans need a QB. 2 of the 3 will pick up Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders, which leaves only one team without a starter -- unless Tennessee rolls with Levis, e.g.
So the market for Howell as a young starter would be at most 1 team, and even then there's probably comparable options as UFA: Mac Jones, Kyle Trask, Trey Lance, Drew Lock plus a bunch of journeyman vets if they just wanted a bridge QB.
If someone comes calling, great. But us putting him out as available would pretty much guarantee we'll get nothing for him.
I said journeyman vets. You left out Russell Wilson,
