Largest amount ever for an NFL team. Jody played this very well, waiting to put the team on the market until after they won another Super Bowl. She maxed the money that will go to the charitable causes Paul cared about.

I would prefer the new owner not be a longtime 49ers fan, but Jody did exactly what Paul wanted. Got to give her kudos for being so successful with the team since Paul passed in 2018.

Looks like it's the guy who has stake in the Niners (he'll need to sell his stake).

I feel like I need a bath right now... meh.

Hopefully the new owners don’t come in here and screw it all up. Many owners in the league seem to have done this.

Khosla owned a very small portion of the 49ers. Likely had no say over anything. Not sure why people are freaking out about that. I get it's the enemy but oh well...

He and his family led this purchase for the team. Per Schefter, it sounds like Khosla's wife is going to be the controlling owner and their son Neal is going to have a big role as well.

I think Neal is eventually going to be calling the shots. He's only in his early 30s but is already a CEO. I don't know much about him other than him and his mom are big movers in the AI world.

For me, I felt spoiled having Jody and Paul as owners. Or lucky/fortunate would describe it better. Now? My first impression is like walking out on a frozen lake........and though it feels solid, you can hear the ice cracking somewhere. It'll take some time before I feel comfortable again.

I read this and was worried it was a gold-digging trophy wife situation, but apparently she's 70 and they've been together since they were kids. Heartwarming actually.

my first impression reading about his and his wifes philanthropic ventures and affiliations.. i can see why the Trust probably chose this group. He seems in one aspect like a decent guy. but As a team own, I choose to sit back and watch this unfold hoping for the best.

He (probably) won't need to sell his ownership piece in the 9rs until the sale closes. He'll be restricted from being involved in 9r ownership but he'll have the opportunity to maximize his sale price. The owners won't require anything that would force a sale because that could reduce bidding and reduce valuation.

I'm looking forward to a presser and I hope he talks about his ownership in the 9r organization and his (reported) longterm fandom of that team. He'll have an uphill climb to become as beloved as PAllen (and JAllen too) but his first presser will be replayed a lot over the next decade or 2 and be a first step one-way-or-another.

Speaking of overreaction!

NOBODY is freaking out.
Least not here.
