Has anyone heard if Pete Carroll commented/congratulated publicly on the team winning LX? I did a quick search and didn't see anything on his social media. He obviously doesn't have to comment on it and we all know he wasn't thrilled about being shown the door, but considering what a positive and magnanimous person he is I kind of expected something. Maybe he's a little saltier than his farewell speech came off.

I mean this says it all.

He is under no obligation to comment on it.

Although I don't think anyone in the media has asked him about it.

Yeah it really does. I just keep expecting something to come out publicly that he's happy for the fans, the city, Jody, John and all of the players on the roster he had a hand bringing in.

Pete: "I thought the Stealers won LX?"

"Either way, I was humped and quacked! Then, right after that, I got pumped and jacked!"

I know I’ll catch some hate for this, but Pete was so delusional toward the end of his tenure here that he probably feels responsible for the team winning, and robbed of the opportunity to avenge the Superbowl loss. Guys like Leo Williams, JSN, Spoon, etc, he probably thinks he had a hand in bringing them on board, and then he got shoved to the side and Macdonald stole his glory.

Or maybe not. Who knows

I think you may be closer to the truth than you know. The trajectory of Pete's attitude and self awareness in the final years could very easily lead him to resenting John and Mike's success only 2 years removed from his ouster. Will be interesting to hear his comments (what he says, doesn't say and how he says it) when someone eventually puts a microphone in his face and asks him about the Hawks.

I think his early phenomenal success set him up for hubris and his eventual demise.

He got silly
