I'm sarcastically with you.Don't expect too much from an aging player who wasn't retained by previous teams and keeps taking reduced annual salaries.

He'll improve the pressure rate when he does play. For the money I'm guessing this is what the signings about. What other available player is better at that price point? He also had 564 in 2024 with the Commanders. Maybe it also matters WHO is coaching and how they use him.
That's not homerish. We have recent proof in DLaw that a player can't be discounted.I guess I'm just a homer. I expect him to contribute and be a great addition.
Some people just complain to complain... Fowler had a higher pass rush win rate than any other Seahawks edge last season. Clearly he can contribute something. Those same people were also likely the same crying about signing DeMarcus Lawrence.

Agreed. He also had 564 in 2024 with the Commanders. Maybe it also matters WHO is coaching and how they use him.
I don't think you're wrong.....but Macdonald gives QBs a lot to analyze and sift through after the snap. When they don't have the chance to do that because they're getting pressure they're even more likely than usual to make a mistake.I've actually kinda walked away from this viewpoint over the last few years. It worked a lot better before every team started drafting Russ clones. Now everyone has a QB who can escape a sack with 3 edge rushers getting a piggyback.
I'm tired of seeing it and I want these guys on the ground.
It's ok. Every fan on every fan board wants to hear that their new signing is an upgrade at a cheaper price. Fans find, (or create), stats that will reinforce what they want to believe. Fowler isn't chopped liver, or at least he wasn't when I paid attention to how he played. The move makes sense for the Seahawks. I'm not against the signing. That said he's not an every down player, he's not always a team player, and he's been known to give up on plays. If you can keep him healthy, motivated, and the opponents in pass mode he'll be an asset.I'm sarcastically with you.
Absolutely, not to mention who you are playing with....it is a team sport after all. Interior, linebackers, secondary all contribute to how a player may perform as well.He also had 564 in 2024 with the Commanders. Maybe it also matters WHO is coaching and how they use him.
