Washington intrigues me. I see a lot of folks saying Price as well. If we get one of the two, I’ll be happy.
I just lean towards Washington as I think JS and MM won’t grab one at 32.

I do know that Brian Nemhauser (Hawkblogger) isn't too enamored with Price as he feels he's not quite suited for type of offense we're running, especially in the run-game scheme.
He feels Washington is better suited for it.

Sometimes, you have to take shots at athletes. I mean, they’re all athletes but Washington’s #s look really good.
Here’s another athletes draft analysis hot take that we picked up:
- Drifts through games without urgency at times.
- Inconsistent downhill trigger in run support.
- Block take-on and pursuit angles need improvement.
- Gives too much ground to blockers instead of bypassing.
- Hip tightness limits transition quickness in space.
- Average instincts and route anticipation.
If JS and MM like Washington as a pick, I’ll love it.

I think Washington Jr's size/speed variable is our fit and the 8 fumble (3 lost) in two years just has to be a coached out and an accepted risk.
I am against Price for the same reasons I would rule out Jonah Coleman who is redundant to Emanuel Wilson, just as Price is redundant to Holani. Yes, compare their scouting reports, size/speed, roles in college as a #2 to the top RB in their respective drafts.

At worst it's a high blood pressure mechanism, at best a good smoke screen to see Price mocked at #32. Hopefully the national pundits and FF fans have never been more wrong and a defensive player or RG get top priority.
We only had four FA losses and this is still a SB contending roster that should be maintained & bolstered to beat the Rams & 49ers.
And that means no tricky dick Price picks. IMHO
John will have a slew of picks in 2027, right now let's pick players that give opposing HC's, OC's and Stafford & Purdy headaches.
I think it will be much easier and prudent to find a difference making CB or DLineman with our first pick than a RB in this draft.

I don't think Washington is the type of RB we need, Jadarian Price fits, but imho, #32 is better used for Chris Johnson (DB), then #64, and #96 for Edge/RB.
I like Jonah Coleman because he's got all of the skills we need, important skills that keep the offense ON the field, and our defense OFF the field. Per Staton, Coleman would go much higher this year if you look at his 2024 tape, but everyone's basing their ranking off of his 2025 tape (where he's been playing injured).
Coleman has everything, including some things that K9 did not, specifically, pass blocking skills. So you can put him in on 3rd down, and it can be a pass or run play.
The best thing, I believe Jonah can be had at #96 or later if they trade back.

I'm having a little problem with the whole "redundant skills" thinking for RB's. I would be happy to have 2 good ground pounders, or 2 good slice and dice guys. I want talent, and not a couple of guys that "run differently".
Give me 2 main backs that can move the chains consistently, NOT fumble, pass block and maybe catch the ball and I could care less if they both are Beast Mode or Barry Sanders kind of guys. I certainly wouldn't pass on a good prospect, at the right pick number, just because "we already have a guy like him". Especially if I just lost my #1 back in FA and need a back. Now, if JS thinks we're good as we are now...so be it. I'd just hate to pass on a RB that has potential, at the right round, just because of the same kinda guy thinking.

I'm not an expert, I get most of my info from multiple draft sites and draft experts, coupled with watching a lot of videos, so this is just my opinion, which has been known to be way off quite often. But I don't understand how Hawkblogger can think this way about Price, and favor Washington.
Maybe he's thinking Washington would be better at the end of the 3rd round, than Price would be at the end of the 1st round?
I think Price would be very important, because we need the running game to be successful to keep our defense off of the field. That's why we are a run first team, and that approach is integral to our success as a defense.

I agree with what Hawk Blogger says about the 2 RBs. Price is more of a steady between the tackles type of runner, Washington is more of a home run hitter type athletically which you want in a wide zone running scheme I am just not a fan of how much Washington fumbles.

I’ve seen Bobby Rang on that pod with the bald Colts fan with the red beard. Nemhauser is cool but I’m partial to Hawks Nest and Brandon Kane he’s one of the better analysts I’ve seen for the Hawks

He never actually addressed the point you made.. making him seem... like an idiot. Not even the same blocking scheme.. I pretty much disregard anything he has to say BEFORE.
His AFTER is good because he had time to digest something and actually study it without trying to grab is views for Revenue

I respectfully disagree with you on Rob Staton. He's been doing this for 18 years and is extremely passionate about the Seahawks. I used to get in to arguments with him years ago, to the point one of us would get banned. Rob puts in the time, has good sources, and has a history of success when evaluating players, and where they might get picked.
Plus he has a full time job, and puts in a lot of hours outside of work studying Seahawks and Players. I suspect he might do a lot of studies and writing while at work too. I really respect Staton, and think that he does a great job of redirecting a conversation to a point of view that no one else has thought of and can be very diplomatic when giving a negative opinion on someone like McVay and the Rams.

I agree with you on Staton. He's becoming one of my favorites. I didn't like him at first but he puts in a ton of time and effort. And very knowledgeable. He tells it like it is, good or bad and not afraid to criticize. He's not always right but nobody is. He and Viens are my 2 favorites.I respectfully disagree with you on Rob Staton. My assessment of him is probably slanted from the fact I had a couple of run ins with him as well. You and I don't have to agree on everything to still be cool with each other. Not all MY takes are solid as I'm a flawed human ( sort of)

I am not a big fan of Price who is not an explosive runner which is what I look for in a ZBS RB especially when they run wide zone plays where you want a plant and go type of runner. My preference was Washington Jr who reminded me of a bigger version of Devon Achane
It’s no coincidence that the Raiders took Washington Jr I am sure that Kubiak made that choice
