I love what I'm seeing so far.

I think Price is the key here. Walker leaving was the biggest hit by far to the SB championship team. Price will fill a large part of that gap.

Woolen and Bryant leaving have been replaced with Clark and Neal. Additionally lots of rumors Marlon Humphrey will sign after the draft. All the videos from Neal, he is so excited to be a Seahawk.

Mafe hasn't been replaced yet, but it sounds like Fowler is all but guaranteed to sign after the draft.

The biggest question mark now is going to be OC, which can't be understated. Kubiak was masterful with the in game adjustments.

Oh yeah and next year they have 11 draft picks and we still have $29m in cap space.

Sorry I have been slammed at work lately. Why are we confident in Fowler and Humphrey? I am sure I can search it up but I mostly just come to .Net with my limited time lately. 😅 Thanks!

I wonder if they'll trade any 2027 picks to move up to the 4th round today 🤔
Nooooo, please Nooooooo!! Any players they pick up from now on are PROBABLY going to be depth. Save the picks for next year to use as bate to move UP. Turn 12 picks into 7-8(hopefully more) to move ALL our picks into lower rounds. Something like that.

Pretty happy with this draft overall. I do wish we could have traded down from the first but I don't think an offer was even there. At least not one they thought was worth it.

Maybe would make sense in another draft year, not worth it to buy back in this year
Not sure how you could know that without knowing who might be available. If anything, it makes more sense in years where you don't have many picks.

Sure if they like someone enough and can find a trade partner. Quite a few teams have multiple 4th rounders and I don't think there will be much left when the 6th rolls around.
The leftovers at CB & RB still look interesting and it wouldn't hurt my feelings to double down here.

If we take a second running back in the fourth round, it feels like tacit admission that they have no faith in anyone other than Charbs.

I love what they have done in this draft. Replaced pieces that fell off the board to other teams.
This years draft has been rated by many as weak in overall talent, while next years draft is rated very highly by even more pundants. Why trade away future picks in a good draft year? Package some of those 12 picks we have next year and move up to draft some game changing talent.

It's been speculation. Fowler was in for a visit and the rumor mill said after the draft(doesn't count against comp picks any longer) he would sign.

Humphrey has been connected to MM for awhile. He was even at the SB parade, while he was still technically a Raven.

I could be wrong on both, but either way I am still stoked.

No...
It would only mean we are the Champ's, our offense is driven by the run-game, we lost our top two RB's, we have a new OC and we want competition for Holani, KMc & Wilson who are all largely unproven.
What the hell does tacit mean, that don't sound like football talk, lol.

I heard JS talk about how he has learned about keeping the team going after a championship. I don't know what the direct quote was but someone on ESPN referenced it:

General manager John Schneider has talked about wanting to draft players who will come in and push their veteran starters, a lesson he learned from the years that followed Seattle's last Super Bowl victory, when they felt like their locker room lost some of its edge.

I really like hearing that from JS.

It means unspoken. Like obviously they aren't going to announce they don't think the other RBs can do the job, but actions speak louder.

Id agree with you if we're talking about them taking a seventh rounder they like, which they did last year, but you expect a fourth rounder to make the team and be a contributor, especially at a position like RB. If you take one here, the plan is for MAYBE one of Holani, McIntosh, or Wilson to make the team. Doesn't show a lot of confidence in those guys.

I think Charbs being hurt changed the priority.

There a couple of backup players that could potentially be traded today for late picks, somehow though them staying might fit team plans better even if none are genuine starters.

He's expected to miss like maybe half the season at most. Especially after taking Price, they shouldn't be THAT worried about it where it's dictating mid-round selections, which this team has a recent history of hitting out of the park.
