2026 DRAFT PICK #32: RB Jadarian Price

Clearly though the team had faced an inability to trade back and picked the player they like best at a position of need.

Please explain how this is “clearly” what happened.

Edit: Just watched the press conference with MM and JS and based on what JS said they didn’t get a deal done even though they thought they were moving back.

They also seemed light on the commentary on this guy, so while you can tell they liked him I didn’t get the sense that they really wanted to take him there.

I'm surprised and disappointed but I'll root for him, he's a Seahawk.
My opinion on Price is littered through .net, I hope I'm wrong, but not my kind of RB
Not a short yardage guy, not a 3rd down back, averaged only 8 carries over two years, 4.52.

I think we could have done as good or better on a RB later and now are going to miss out on a CB, RG, edge.
Maybe Price can gain 5-8 lbs of good weight and find his stride in our offense on this bigger stage and make me eat crow, happily.

If it makes you all feel any better about my Eyore attitude, the last time I was this negative about a pick was Russell Wilson. LOL

Those of you who don't like this pick need to remember something important: the Rams used the 13th pick in this draft on Ty Simpson and that's really, really funny.

Additionally, everyone who likes this pick should also remember that.

He’s a pure running back. Has some flaws but he can run the damn ball. I trust MM and JS to take a leap and draft a RB this high. Just pray he stays healthy cause we have had way too much unluck with RBs staying healthy since Lynch.

The pick by the Rams of Simpson ended the trade back with teams wanting the 5th year option for him by AZ or others. There were numerous other trade backs from picks #25 to 31 that also didn’t help at all and likely priced Seattle out of the trade market by offering earlier picks in the first rd..

That became clear to me as it was happening thus preventing a trade for pick 32 that would return some appropriate value.

As a backup behind the number one back... the dude had 674 yards on 113 carries... 11 TDs... and did it consistently for 2 years...

I'm good with the pick partially because I learned a while ago to stop seeing the late first round as "true" first round. It's more like early second. The premiere picks typically stop around 15-20.

It'll be interesting, though. We won the Super Bowl in no small part because of Walker's talent and clutch gene. It takes a whole roster firing to win that thing.

Not really though, there are huge question marks for the remaining RBs, other than maybe Coleman, whose skill set isn't really what we needed given the loss of KW, we needed a guy who could make some big plays and that's not Coleman's game. Washington is a much more raw RB prospect than the hype he's been receiving, but he's getting talked up because there's a lack of rb depth this year and his speed does jump off the page but he has a lot of flaws too. Johnson is fine, not much upside as I see it. Other than him who else would we have done "as good or better with" later on? Maybe Singleton but that's a guy you'd take in the late rounds and hope it works out (much like MacIntosh), not a guy who you expect to break through to being an immediate contributor for a contender.

That’s a naive take. He didn’t start because of who played RB1 for Notre Dame. The RB selected #3 overall today. The best pure football player in the entire draft.

He’s an RB1 anywhere else in the country. He remained loyal to ND, finished his degree there, and didn’t complain about playing time and made big plays when his number was called.

I’m disappointed by people with bad takes that clearly didn’t bother to understand the situation they complained about.
