I voted on "Later round pick" based on my suppostition that they will trade #32 away for more of those later round picks. It would fit JS's history and personality. Can't really see him leaving this draft with only 4 players.
Anyone who has watched Penn state knows, Allen is a far better RB than Singlelton. Allen just doesn’t have the athleticism though.Deep draft for running backs.
Nick Singleton. 55 tds career.
If I know of John he is planning Chip at 188.
5"11 233lbs 4.39 40. Feldman Freak List.
Earlier in the draft we can get cb, safety and edge we like. We trade down even better. Then we get a guard and linebacker plus Chip.![]()
55 tds is alot. It's probably enough. Katron goes a smidgen earlier.Anyone who has watched Penn state knows, Allen is a far better RB than Singlelton. Allen just doesn’t have the athleticism though.
I thought JS mentioned earlier that this was a bad overall draft not so sure if adding more picks in later rounds aligns with that statement. It probably leans to him thinking if he can get a proven vet, that would be better. 2020 draft was the same way but hopefully he doesn't trade two firsts this time around.I voted on "Later round pick" based on my suppostition that they will trade #32 away for more of those later round picks. No apologies necessary. I hadn't heard that interview, it just seems to make sense to me. For all the talk out in the world I don't see the Seahawks as desperate in any position group, really. IIRC, a few years back in a similar position John turned 4 picks into 8 players. He's also done pretty well in the 4th/5th round in the past. He probably hates the idea of sitting them out completely.I thought JS mentioned earlier that this was a bad overall draft not so sure if adding more picks in later rounds aligns with that statement. Edit: I was wrong. JS now wants to trade back as Sutz mentioned - https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...no-secret-we-want-to-trade-back-and-add-picks. My apologies Sutz.
Looking at potential values the #32 pick + the Seahawks 1st round pick in 2027 would be a fair trade for the #18 pick in this year's Draft. Obviously teams can have significantly different views on pick values. Love is projected to be picked in the top 10, (possibly top 6). If you also add this year's 2nd round pick then pick #12 would be fair, but it might get you up to #10. Realistically I think Love is out of reach.Just heard that press conference today. Fifth year options are enticing for sure.
JS is always playing chess though…with a solid # of picks in next years draft, it wouldn’t be a shocker if they actually trade way up to get ‘their guy’.
Could JS sacrifice our 32nd pick and a first round ‘27 pick to get Love? Can’t say I hate that idea considering the number of picks we have next year.
From most accounts I’ve read, Love IS not only the best running back but the best overall player (however the heck that’s gauged/what metric).
Something tells me JS might make that push. Love would be a Day 1 starter and would take the pressure off Charb coming back…
A move like this would be crazy but, when you have a championship roster with one gaping hole, it could pay off in the form of another SB run.
I’m not sure I’d think the same with some of the other RBs out there (to include two guys I like - Price and Washington).
This.We saved $3M annually to give Sam Darnold no run game. Schneider better pull some draft day bullshit or we played ourselves. WE NEED A RUN GAME.
No we saved somewhere between 28.7M and 45M over three years depending on if he completes the contract. Last year was his first year he played in all 17 games, he has never had 230 carries in a season and has struggled with nagging injuries. We saved $3M annually to give Sam Darnold no run game. This. K9 had flaws. Yes he was voted MVP. But you extend him then those same issues would resurface. That was bell cow back money. No we saved somewhere between 28.7M and 45M over three years depending on if he completes the contract. He didn't want to be here and wanted to be paid like a bell-cow back, now he gets his chance.
If John & Mike play their RB cards right we will soon be ahead of the sticks with overall 2nd & shorter and 3rd & shorter downs.
Walker walked, just let him go.
I agree with the run blocking. It takes time for O-linemen to get there (mature). They’re really coming along nice.K9

So Walker averaged 12-13 rushes per game while a Seahawk. He missed a total of 10 games because of injury in his first 3 seasons but played in all 17 games last season.
An elite or bell-cow back averages 15- 20 carries a game.
The Chiefs say they signed KW3 to take some pressure off of Mahomes so he doesn't have to make so many big plays. I think it's going to take some time to effectively work K9 into the game plan and play book and they may be disappointed with some 2nd, 3rd & longs early on. I don't think it will be long before KC has K9 sharing carries with a between the tackles, power back to mix things up and and the #9 bell-cow rings tinny.
The Bronco's and Chargers both have top 10 defenses and I don't see KC adding Walker helping them recapture the AFC west.
I could be wrong though. Maybe he reels off a couple of 1500 yard seasons and proves to be durable and capable of a bigger load.
Whatever happens, I want to see Charb's to come back early & healthy and see how he and Wilson or whoever handle the bulk of the carries
I'm not worried about our run game.
I'm pumped up, jacked up & ready to see it.
Our run-blocking will be better this year.
Welcome to the modern NFL where there are almost never great complete teams. Even the champions have to hide the odd weak spot. If the team paid Walker to stay they'd have to spend less somewhere else. It's a game of sporting resource-management.I agree with the run blocking. It takes time for O-linemen to get there (mature). But, I’m worried about or run game. If Charb was healthy, I’d feel a lot better.
Even though I’d be happy with us taking a guy like Love or Price, I don’t see us spending a first rounder on RB.
And that may be the right choice.
Feels like a gaping hole in our O…
