⁉️ Are you suggesting that Bobo, even on the RFA Tender is our highest paid WR? Where did that come from?

Shaheed is highest paid now, next year it'll be JSN. Bobo could play here for 50 years and not be highest paid. 🤷‍♂️
No. He's suggesting that Shaheed is the 4th or 5th best receiver. He could even be correct with that analysis. However, Shaheed is being paid because of the impact he has on how opponents defend against the Seahawks rather than his statistical achievement.

Interesting that the current top two cap numbers identified as wide receivers are multi-role players.

#1 being player/coach Cooper Kupp

#2 being speed receiver & return specialist Rashid Shaheed.

The more "you can do" cliche appears to carry some meaningful contract weight.

And the dude has done everything asked of him. He was clutch many times during his time here.
Yeah, he was clutch the 6 games he was inactive and really kept the bench warm.

I fully admit his TD in the NFCCG was awesome but I literally can't remember a single other play he made for this team that wasn't in the pre-season.

I fully agree that he is replaceable but it would need to be outside the draft since we don’t have the capital this year. And sure he doesn’t have many looks at WR but he’s a solid contributor on a strong special teams unit.

This is one of those moves that really can go either way as the player is replaceable and the money is negligible.

Definitely gone. JS not paying that…

But for being a ‘slow’ guy who didn’t appear as athletic as our other WRs, he sure was clutch when we needed him.

Bobo can block his ass off too….

I hate the off-season sometimes. Would’ve never thought some of these guys would get paid like they have.

Even with the position averages…sis anyone think K9 would be $15M per? Riq…$15M (not ‘great’ for a CB on a one year prove it deal but…it’s still $15M). Mafe - $20M per?

Ffs….

Our Running Game was off the charts after Shaheed signed, because teams had to defend against that speed. He won that Thursday night game for us, which meant we had a chance at the Super Bowl.

He also took the wind out of the sails for the 49ers by running the opening kick back for a TD, which meant our team had an easy game. Which makes a huge difference when you're playing the Rams next week. So it could be said that we don't make the Super Bowl without him.

And BoBo has made plenty of contributions where you don't see him. Special Teams, and he ALWAYS catches the ball. It's who our QB throws to when the play breaks down. BoBo has made some amazing hand catches while tip toeing on the edge of the inbounds/outbounds line.

Nobody seems to watch him block on Running plays, he is like a TE out there, blocks with tenacity, guess that doesn't make the stat sheets so it doesn't matter to many.

Which is why I trust the coaches and FO more than any blogger or poster. 🤷‍♂️

I believe that Jake's snap counts tell the story of what John and Mike's decision will be.

In 2024, Jake played in all 17 games and saw 29% of offensive snaps (roughly one in three) and 67% of ST snaps.

In 2025, he played in only 11 games and his snaps plummeted... only 17% of offensive snaps (roughly one in six) and 45% of ST snaps.

The feel-good storyline is the Seahawks match the Jaguars offer... but I now believe they won't... even though I hope that they do.

If they truly didn’t want him back then why tender him at all? People say do he could compete for playing time but he competes his butt off every year. They know what they get with him. They could have just let him walk.

I can see why they may not want to commit two years to him so that could be an issue but the money itself isn’t what will cost us him being here.

It feels like our team is a Jenga tower and all we do is lose pieces. Every one of them have been lauded as "non-essential" or "not worth it." Without actually filling those holes at some point the tower will fall.

Well one of the issues, and they have joked about it, but there is a hint of truth in it... When Bobo's in.. opposing teams know pretty well it's a run play.

Bobo caught a TD pass vs the Rams. So...maybe if the other teams are thinking run when he’s in thinking they know our tendencies ? Then we will sneak a pass in there if that’s the case?Kind of like the 2pt conversion with Saubert had vs the Rams. They never saw that coming, they was thinking Barnyard all the way🤙🏼
