If the league just sweeps this under the rug, what's to stop other teams from doing the exact same thing? Heavy fine, Draft picks lost, something.

Unless you also count not being upfront and honest about having buyers remorse and claiming it was because of a failed physical by a guy that is in recovery from surgery who they knew could not pass a physical... I think that's actually more despicable than just pulling out of the deal in the first place breaking your agreement.

What was a miss was that it took the Ravens so long to get the medical checkup (about a week?)
But, the real fault
lay with the Raiders, this huge deal was to big to F up and the Raiders should have made sure and insisted the Medical exam took place immediately. ( just so they can have some extra time if it did fall through)

He went on to say, that the Ravens have never given up their 1st round picks in a trade so being the first time, seems they were being very careful.

Just 11 days later, Alexander informed Philadelphia that he was stepping away from football to focus on his physical and mental health.

Alexander had been dealing with ongoing knee injuries and recovery from surgery, which had limited his playing time in recent seasons.

Yeah, I guess I don't understand, Your telling me Alexander missed multiple games in multiple seasons and Philly didn't know? I would think they would have scouted the guy and if they didn't and they still traded for the guy on hear-say, they would still have given him a mandatory physical and in which case he surely would have failed.. I don't get it, what did DaCosta lie about?

It doesn't matter, I"m just paraphrasing what the "expert" was saying, I don't know anything about the Gm's, their dealings, their shanagins or anything.n It just sounded plausible amid the shady stories floating around.,
