I wonder if Bezos still has interest in buying the Seahawks now that he lives in Florida. Not that living in Florida makes it impossible, but it just seems weird that he would own a team on the opposite side of the country from where he resides.

I was going to ask when's the last time an owner bought a team and it worked out well but then remembered the Broncos sale seems to have gone ok....so far.
Need that owner that won't meddle....especially as long as John Schneider is in charge.

Look up the city of Tamarac, Florida. Wikipedia or whatever. Check out who founded the city. (Granted, it may have been after he sold the team, I don't know.)

How many people/organizations are there in the world that can pay $5,000,000,000 and up for a team like this? My guess is that NFL team ownership getting relegated to a distinguished (notorious?) few.

Hoping for the best, and that the owner wants continued Seattle success.

I believe that when Paul bought the team, he felt that the Seahawks should have a legacy as impressive or better than the 49ers at the time. (I know, with their 5 Lombardis blah blah blah). I hope this mandate remains in place.

For those of you who live there or are in tune with the Seattle area, are there any local big money guys that come to mind? Or a group of them that could get together?

You couldn't have asked for a better time to throw a For Sale sign in the window than now if you're the seller.

I'm not worried about any new owner(s) moving the team at all. For one, it would be a spectacularly idiotic decision to try and relocate the team. Second, what city in this country is a realistic destination? Third, the League's reasoning back in 1996 against Ken Behring moving the team was there would be no NFL representation in a significant region of the U.S. and that is still relevant today. If there was no franchise in Seattle, a legit 5 states would have no nearby team. And, last but not least, the optics of green lighting a Seahawks move for any new ownership from the PNW with the rabid fan support we've had for a half century now would be a really terrible look for the league office.

My only concern is we get a dunce who meddles too much and drives away quality management and coaching like the Browns. But, there again, the Allen's leadership/management over the last 30 years have provided an excellent blueprint on how to successfully manage this franchise. It would take a real egomaniac/moron to blow up a proven model with this kind of money involved just to try and reinvent the wheel.

Just my .02
