Family was ready to go to the parade this morning. We went last year so we were all looking forward to the experience of seeing our awesome team and partying with the 12s. We had tickets to go to the stadium to witness the trophy presentation. Had the day off. We were all soooo excited. - then work happened.

I was asked to get on a couple of mandatory meetings this afternoon, which unfortunately clashed with the parade time. I tried everything to get out of it, to get it rescheduled, but I failed miserably. Unbelievable.

I feel soooo bad that I was the cause for my family missing the parade. They didn't want to go because I couldn't go. My heart breaks for them. They keep reassuring me that it's ok, but I'm just so frustrated and sad for them. Watching it on TV of course is not the same.

Anyone aware of any upcoming player appearances? I would be willing to pay just so I can make it up to my family for missing the parade on my behalf.

What's the story behind all the ski goggles? Just protection from champagne spray?

I did a little googling on this, because I was worried it was a new thing that would drive the price of goggles even higher, and I'm going through three to four pairs per season right now.

It looks like it was a semi-trend in 2025, but never really took off, outside the custom world (lenses with logos or LEDs etc). Mostly they are being warn for decent looking eye protection in locker rooms, parties, and parades, and in school during assassin week, when everyone goes around trying to spray every one else.

And I agree with @AROS : The streaming feed quality was pretty ASS at times, especially a few critical times (like when AJ Barner was pointing out his teammates but the video was frozen on the crowd outside while he was still talking).

Oh well.
