Mariners trade for Brendan Donovan

I read that he has the 13th best OBP in the entire league since the beginning of 2022. Exactly what this team needs. Get on base, put the ball in play. You could argue that was the reason this team just missed the WS. WAY too many strikeouts, WAY too many guys left on base.

Jerry and Justin have been active at the trade deadline the last few years. They may pick up another quality stick or pitcher this year too!
If Canzone is 1/2 of the everyday DH role he needs to produce like an everyday DH. He's a good kid I hope he succeeds.

Jerry and Justin don't operate like that. Canzone is doing his part, Robles is the guy we need to be 2024 Robles. Together they make 1 RF that can match up against righties and lefties.

I would personally rather see Raley as the other 1/2 of the RF role with Robles. Canzone and Refsnyder at DH.

What I'm trying to say is your never going to see Canzone as a full time DH or right fielder. Agaisnt righties they will run out Raley and Canzone as DH/RF and agaisnt lefties they'll play Robles and Refsnyder. They operate in a manner where they use 2 cheap players to get similar production as 1 expensive player.

asa cardinals fan here in iowa (adopted them because of wife)... sucks loosing BD, but as a mariners fan growing up HELL YES, great pick up
