Really?

I have a hard time believing that as I think you all were beating teams by like 50 points in the regular season.

Seahawks vs Manning and the all time best offense. Yes everyone outside of Seattle said we would lose.

I just heard on “The Herd”, Eric Mangini as the guest. Mangini said that all the Patriots have to do is double JSN, stuff the run, and it will cause Darnold to struggle.

Cowherd agreed 100%, said that Darnold will struggle and the Patriots will win 27-26, he said that too many people are overlooking the Patriots.

Both of them also said that our defense isn’t as good as advertised, especially in the secondary, and the Patriots receivers will have success, Maye will have a great game and win.

Thoughts? Does this mean we lose now?

Cowherd also said it wasn't his official pick and that he has until next Friday to change his mind.

Red Alice it was in 2012 that we were beating teams by 50. We scored an average of 50 pts for three games. Beat the Bills 52-something Az 58-0 and 9ers 42-13. Kinda like how we were destroying teams before halftime this season.

Mangini is right.

- Patriots will stop Walker. Their front 7 is one of the best when they have Williams-Tonga-Barmore intact, which wasn't the case the past couple of months but they're back now. The Hawks will average no more than 3 yds/carry in this game, 60-70 yards total.

- Gonzo will play Shaheed and limit him to 40-50 yards. JSN will be doubled by Davis + another. Marcus Jones will play Kupp. Those are good corners but good WR's too who will make some plays. Darnold will end up with 220 yards or so but it won't come easy.

Result will be the Hawks offense gains 300 yards and scores 20-23 points. I'm hanging my hat on that.

What the Patriots offense can accomplish is anyone's guess. And turnovers is anyone's guess. Maye's been mediocre the past month, but battling a shoulder injury and he doesn't play that well in bad weather. All 3 playoff games have been extreme conditions, < 30 degrees and precipitation, versus disruptive top-6 defenses. He'll be a lot better in dry 60's weather.

The OL is better than advertised, Maye should have time and he makes plays that only very few QB's can make. McDaniels is as good as they come at OC. They can definitely get to 24 and win this game if things fall right.

Someone hasn't watched a Seahawks game this year. No one tell them what's up.

Port Angeles Washington in the mountains
I've read a lot of expert opinions in this forum, and, overall, I'd still take him over any of us.

(But you guys are good :))
Yeah right. I don’t like anything he says. He is from Washington and he roots for the Yankees cause he says most of the time the money is gonna win so you should root for a winner. Can’t stand him or his takes

You're proving my point.

Mangini is right.
It's only his opinion and opinions can be right or wrong.

- Patriots will stop Walker. Their front 7 is one of the best when they have Williams-Tonga-Barmore intact, which wasn't the case the past couple of months but they're back now. The Hawks will average no more than 3 yds/carry in this game, 60-70 yards total.
He could be slowed down a bit off the rush but what are the Pats going to do about defending the Screen Passes to him?

- Gonzo will play Shaheed and limit him to 40-50 yards. JSN will be doubled by Davis + another. Marcus Jones will play Kupp. Those are good corners but good WR's too who will make some plays. Darnold will end up with 220 yards or so but it won't come easy.
So Gonzo, being your BEST Corner is going to pu$$y-out and not guard JSN like some of your fellow Pats fans are saying?

Not that it would've made any difference. JSN would burn him just like he's going to burn Davis + Door #2 of the Pats.

As far as Marcus Jones goes, he should do a solid job on Kupp but Cooper is one of those guys who still finds a way to get open on plays here and there. He can't completely blanket Kupp EVERY time. He will lose him and those times he does, it will be costly for him and the Pats (and I will laugh at you).

Result will be the Hawks offense gains 300 yards and scores 20-23 points. I'm hanging my hat on that.

You're going to end up hanging yourself instead of your hat with a dumb prediction like that.

What the Patriots offense can accomplish is anyone's guess. And turnovers is anyone's guess. Maye's been mediocre the past month, but battling a shoulder injury and he doesn't play that well in bad weather. His being mediocre has nothing to do with the weather.

Also an injured shoulder doesn't get better with the weather.

The OL is better than advertised, Maye should have time and he makes plays that only very few QB's can make. McDaniels is as good as they come at OC. They can definitely get to 24 and win this game if things fall right.

They won't even get to 20 against this Defense.

They averaged 18 ppg overall this postseason.

And this game won't be an exception.

You guys are looking at what The League MVP (Stafford) and a very High-Octane Offense with Top-Tier Caliber players (ie Puka Nacua, Davonte Adams, etc.) did and think that your pop-gun offense is going to do the same.

I have a feeling you Pats fans are going to be in for a very nasty surprise next Sunday.

Also, the Pats defense struggled defending the Redzone and stunk defending 3rd down in the playoffs.

Both those FACTS point to them giving up far more than 20-23 points against Darnold, JSN, and company.

I look forward to never seeing your stupid name around here again after next Sunday.
