I know there is two versions but is there another version but it's on the wrong side?If so "wow"..

No, the ones that got placed wrong were the authentic "fan" version.

1000s got released with the patch placed on the wrong side.

In the other "huge" patch thread, somebody said they bought an authentic jersey from the pro shop, it had an embroidered patch on it, that would be a 3rd version but I highly doubt it was as stated. "Authentic from pro shop"


Edit: IIRC, the patch that was put on the "youth" jerseys was a tad smaller. It looked like the "fan" version, so in that regard, there is 3 versions.

I was at the C.Link pro shop and saw with my own eyes the embroidered SB XLVIII patch on the jerseys they were selling. *ugh*

So the patch came in today. The quality is excellent. Very similar look to the Swedish Cookie, but very different feel. I have never felt the real patch, but this is exactly what I would expect it to feel like considering the pictures.


The main thing I didn't like about the Swedish Cookie was how it was stiff and wouldn't allow the jersey to sit right. This would not have that issue. It is soft enough to sew.

I would love love love to find a few of these in XLVIII.

So, if you are thinking about going for one of these, I recommend it.

Wow I've never seen those retail Chromaflex SB48 patches before. Those are definitely the next best thing. Selling any?

Except on the Toomer jersey I posted a link to. That is the exact same patch it looks like to me.

I did reply to the originator of the Ebay post, so there's that. I tried to include a pic of the authentic patch, but strangely I was unable to. Here's the pic if one of you kids knows how to bypass whatever it is that was screwing me over. I don't wanna see a fellow Seahawks fan get screwed to 2 grand!!! Go get this asshole!

In my continued search for the genuine patch, I came across this today.

Russell Wilson Seattle Seahawks Pro Cut Team-Issued Jersey Super Bowl 48 XLVIII

If the patch isn’t genuine, it’s the closest thing I’ve ever seen.

The thing that gives me pause is that the highlight is at the tip of the football where the genuine articles I’ve seen have the highlight in the body of the football.

This could be entirely due to lighting. I figure Blue Thunder, @Zorn2Largent , and @AROS can weigh in as the site experts.

I’m not buying it, either way. $1500 for a patch that I’m just going to cut off and put on a Kam Chancellor jersey is too rich for my blood.

Interesting to see though, and if I see any other others, I’ll post them here.

I will probably buy several LX patches, if I can find them. Even though it looks pretty ugly to me right now, I may feel differently, once the game is in the rear window.

Looks legit to me and the price is about right. That is the authentic patch.

The real 50th patches have a gell/3D element to them. Not sure if they are ChromaFlex or not, but the replica jersey I bought has a flat version of the 50th patch.

Just to review, the real, truly authentic ChromaFlex SuperBowl 48 patch has concentric lines in the trophy and "XLVIII". See photo below. If you see it for sale anywhere...PM ME IMMEDIATELY!!!! LOL

This is my genuine XLIX patch. I think enough time has gone by that I feel comfortable putting it on a jersey and wearing it.

I would still prefer XLVIII, but this is a nice one.

That’s where I snagged mine. Never could find a 48 patch. Have to admit that RW Jersey is tempting, and priced appropriately. My guess is it’s peak value now, since Wilson won’t go to the HOF.
