I guess Rodgers must have deserved a long, great career. He may be a tool, but he beats Stafford in every career stat;e.g-interception ratio, completion percentage and overall rating (highest in NFL history).

That eye-rolling and pouting on the sidelines is quintessential anti-team behavior. I wonder what Tomlin will feel comfortable saying about him, now that Tomlin has left the Steelers. Probably too classy to ever say what he was really thinking.

I hate seeing great athletes try to keep their careers going when it's time to step down. Aaron changed his play this year to survive, and it worked, but he's done. Super-gene possessor Brady could have gone another year or two. He was continuing to step into the pocket at age 45, while Rodgers this year, stepped back and stayed back, so that he could see any potential shots coming. I wonder if opposing D-linemen felt a little more compelled to crush Rodgers at the end of his career, than Brady?

I have a ton of respect for Stafford. Based upon his full season of work, he is very deserving of MVP. He is currently the best QB in football. My issue is with the media and how they cannot acknowledge Stafford's recent struggles because they have invested so much time into idolizing him.

I feel utter disdain for the national media, and it started with one particular event. That event would be the nauseating "Jerome Bettis is coming home to Detroit." spectacle before Super Bowl XL. It wasn't just a bullet point. It was a pregame topic that was incessantly dwelled upon. Day after day. It actually converted me from being a Jerome Bettis fan into a person hoping for him to fail miserably. Nothing against Jerome Bettis, great player, but more than anything I wanted that media story to die a painful death. The Steelers have been one of my most hated teams ever since. I always pull for their opponent. Outside of the NFC West, the win against the Steelers was the most satisfying victory of the year for me.

I don't know that anyone has said Sam was the worst QB in the league, but even when Sam is complimented there is always the BUT that attends along with some historical reference to him choking under pressure or references to ancient 'ghosts' from back then which of course raises questions about just how good he really is now. If the last Rams game didn't put that narrative to bed nothing ever will except another W the coming Sunday.

I'm not saying that someone said that, it's an exaggeration to make my point. They ignore ANYTHING that Stafford does wrong. They massively blow out of proportion anything Sam does wrong. IF we get pressure on Stafford, we win this game, period.
He, not unlike many QBs in the league, gets pretty careless under heavy pressure. And he does NOT like getting hit.

As for ref steering / incompetence, you never know. That first game against them was bad.

He had one of the greatest WRs in history to throw to (Megatron).

Meanwhile, up until he played for Minnesota, the best Wide Receiver Sam Darnold had was "The Great" DJ Moore in Carolina!!!

And Sam has dealt with FAAAAR more adversity than Stafford ever did.

And he's still dealing with it even now with the goddamn media that won't shut up about his past, the ghosts, the last two games last year as well as having his overall performance being constantly downplayed and so forth!!!

One of the sports stations here in NY commented about this years ago. They don't care too much for covering the Seattle teams because of the distance. Also, because of the time difference, they have to wait for the games to finish before they can write their articles. They didn't care for the smaller market feel of Seattle either, but I think that's more of a personal thing.

The bias the media shows towards Seattle can be seen with other smaller market teams as well. I remember when the hawks won the Super Bowl--if I didn't know any better, it felt as if it was killing them to talk about Seattle. It felt like they were just going through the motions--no real enthusiasm for the match-up. The sports stations here in NY begrudgingly covered the hawks. The media is looking for the BIG stories that they can sell or overhype. I think that's one of the reason's more and more fans are turning to online media sources for more varied and in-depth coverage.

The gap between the Seahawks defense/ST and the Rams defense/ST is larger than the gap between Rams offense and Seahawks offense. The pressure is on Stafford, McVay and the Rams. They are the media darlings. Seahawks at home, they are somewhat of an after thought compared to the Rams (I think it adds to the motivation for the team, if not already motivated by the opportunity to win a championship). Seahawks weren't media darlings in 2013-14 playoffs either. Also the Seahawks are 3-0 in home NFC championship games. Soon to be 4-0 after Sunday.

He played in Detroit when they had next to no O line, Running game for years and created new and amusing ways to lose. He was more beat on then a Heavy Bag in a Boxing Gym. Megatron was great, but tell me what else they had?

Sports, like all media, runs east to west. Most of it is population.

Of course they are writing this on their Microsoft browsers, while flying on a Boeing airplane, sipping the Starbucks coffee, and looking for things to buy on Amazon.

The media's whole schtick, because it is controlled, is to champion a person who embodies at the facsimile level what they espouse in their manipulative content a winner to be, the psychology is to champion what you think you are not, for their control over you.

It's a disease, and the PNW is the ER.

Our small market unwavering sports town is uniquely special in the sporting world for it's loyalty, us vs. you poor bastards mentality, this is globally recognizable and has played a huge part in NFL expansion in Europe, it's much more like a Euro Football fan's loyalty.

We are Seattle sports, we welcome our stars, and our stars tap-in. Those that don't take it for granted realize this is why they worked their entire life, to be appreciated and supported in a Valhalla like gladiator's den the national media wants no part of but will be dragged to until someone stops it. Might take NY, LA teams awhile, or they may never be relevant again.
