Disagree all you want. He's one of the best QB's we have seen in years. I don't care if he was considered a bust prospect, that doesn't mean squat to me. You either have it or you don't. Also, welcome to the NFL. Rookies struggle ALL THE TIME. Including some of the all-time greats.
totally disagree, where you land matters. Atlanta going to ruin Penix is a perfect example. Shanny is a great example of a QB whisperer coach. Purdy wouldn't have become a starter without him.

When you factor in how many organizations consistently fail to develop talented players, and how some are consistently successful at it, including the team we root for, I can't believe anyone would find what you and I are suggesting to be controversial.

This thread is about Sam. I truly don't care about anyone not playing for the Hawks. My mind is on the biggest game in the last decade THIS SUNDAY. Go Hawks

It's ok to be wrong, Rat

Sam is another great example of where you land makes all the difference. So, there you go. Trash organizations like the Jets, Browns, Tards are QB wastelands. Incapable of developing QB's. They ALL need to be developed to some extent. Without Holmgren, there is no Matt Hasselbeck.

I see both sides of it. I have said my peace.

I'm concentrating on the task at hand: THE NFC CHAMPIONSHIP.

The 2018 Draft was a very good one, dispite not none of its graduates have yet been to the Super Bowl yet NFL.Com in 2024 ranked it the 4th best since 2000. After Darnold's last two seasons I would put the class it up to second.

Wouldn't it be great if Sam, who pretty much everyone regarded as the bust of the draft gets to the big game first in the draft class before the likes of Josh Allan, Lamar Jackson, Baker Mayfield and Alex McGough (if any of them ever get there).

200

I even remember Josh Rosen (lol) but I never heard of this person before.

But yeah...that's why I'm praying/hoping/crossing-my-fingers-and-toes that the Seahawks beat the the Rams this Sunday so Sam has that opportunity.

He and Josh Allen, btw, are very good friends off the field and play golf together every offseason so imagine if Sam wins a ring before Josh does. Josh will never hear the end of it. 😂

Meh, according to them, it was a "dangerous" throw

They probably look at the way Sam threw the ball and bailed out of the way, and thought he was throwing a prayer there.

Sam does have the uncanny ability of making these absolute DART-throws while seeming to be either off-balance, or looking like he's throwing the ball away (when he really isn't).

I did hear a play-off coach who knows both of them say Sam wouldn't care about being the first in the draft class to get to / win a SB.
Sam is internaly motivated where Josh is extermnal motivated. An example he gave was if you want them to do 12 reps of something he wou;d tell Sam, "you did 11 last week, let's see if you can to 12" where to Josh he would say "Sam did 11, see it you can do 12".

I just love the fact that all the big-name QB's are silenced. Mahomes, Stafford, Hurts, Rodgers, Burrow, Allen, Goff, Purdy, Lamar, Dak, Mayfield, Herbert, and yes, Russ...none of them got in. Instead it's two guys a lot of casual fans will have have barely heard of, surrounded by the thing that really would generate Super Bowl appearances EVERY year if there were any justice in the world: complete teams. Well, for the Seahawks at least.

This is how it should be.
