Walker III had a monster game last bight in our most important game of the year to date. First downs, touchdowns, he stacked them up. How much can a single game like that effect the sum total of the extension he will be negotiating during this offseason?

Alot...with less experienced, less savvy GMs/FOs. We don’t seem to have one of those. All that to say, the decision makers saw him every single day and knew what they planned on before yesterday was even a thing.

They probably know what they are going to do with K9. Probably have an offer in mind, and will let him test FA.

We could easily lose him, which I wouldn't like. Nature of the game on the business side.

I like K9 and LOVE last nights version of K9, but I think his overall production can be had for far cheaper than he's likely looking for (and I totally don't blame him for wanting all his bready) or even the market would dictate (there's some goofy FOs in this league).

We're better with him that without him. I know teams have been burnt in the past signing RBs to second deals, but the value on those deals has come way down from what they once were. Chances are, what he would get wouldn't prevent us from doing anything else the team considers an offseason priority.

Would hate to lose him but, there’s someone out there that’s going to offer him a boatload more than we’re willing to pay.

As much as fans want a guy to take a ‘hometown discount’, that’s usually not the reality. We’re talking, potentially, about 10’s of millions more over the life of his contract.

I wouldn’t blame him…especially since it will be after a Superb Owl win. Kind of a ‘been there, done that’ perspective. Not saying you don’t want to win more…just saying $$$ talks.

He was amazing but also have to keep in mind we just watched 8 quarters of the 9ers run D which is worse than butt without their dudes.

RB salary are so deflated, I would say not much. Only 9 RBs are even making $10m/yr.
Definitely are. After this run he’s been on though, it’s not hard to see someone coughing up way more than we’re willing to give.

At the same time, would’ve healthy Charb and guy like Holani been enough to win that last game?

Most definitely, yes.

I’d love to keep Walker tho…
