I mean, isn't it possible that the 12-5 Rams, with their #1 offense, are just better than the 8-9 Panthers, with their average defense?
And they just pick em apart that easy? When they struggled to do anything leading up to it?

I want the Rams next week. They didn't look good. Barely beat the weakest playoff team. It was a tough physical game today for them. They're primed for a beat down at Lumen. Get them out of the way in the divisional round.

They had 27 points before that final drive. Struggled to do anything?

That drive was so easy for the Rams that it will not be remembered.

Carolina did great - I appreciate getting more entertainment than expected. And now we have the game of the day. Go Packers.

The last sequences from Carolina on both sides of the ball were an absolute embarrassment. Who the hell is calling these plays? If Kubiak goes, I'd bring back Grubb before taking that guy in.

Yeah, they made the classic 2-minute drive defensive mistake - gave them the middle of the field. I don't get how NFL coaches can't figure out that that almost never works. These days in the NFL, '2 minute drive' means touchdown unless you really suck.

Couldn’t agree more. Middle of the field was open to move down the field for a FG and they acted like they didn’t have 3 timeouts left.

Exactly. Dave Canales calls the plays for Carolina. He did not look confident consulting his play sheet during that last drive, and he chose poorly. The Rams gave him the middle of the field - 3 or 4 throws and you're kicking a game-tying field goal, or might even get close enough to take a shot or two.

This might seem unfairly insulting, but I felt like I was watching Jason Garrett.

Looked like Stafford jammed the fingers on his throwing hand. The Rams are a good team but I think Seattle beats them .

The Panthers don't have a pass rush. They couldn't get any pressure on Stafford the whole game.

Just because they didn’t win look like they wanted to win
They literally did everything to give the game away. Dumb 4 down at midfield to start the game. Giving them a short field. A terrible punt fumble. Young throwing the ball right or the arms. Dropping a game clinching INT.

Sorry guys you are too late, the coach for the panthers was an Assistant Coach for Pete on the Seahawks.

Dave Canales Head Coach

    Wide receivers coach (2010–2017)
    Quarterbacks coach (2018–2019, 2022)
    Passing game coordinator (2020–2021)
Frank Reich -Offence play caller, have to assume the Head Coach is involved in play calling towards the end of a playoff game.
Edited to include Frank Reich.
