The reason for the only 13 points was Hawk mistakes. Same moved the ball and made some nice plays. He didn't have a "what was he thinking" moment on any throws.

Mixed feelings on that first and goal pass. Yeah on one hand just run it when you've been running all drive. The play was there but for some reason Sam didn't pull the trigger. All in all, probably would have been best to keep it simple

I'm different than you on this. I had no mixed feelings whatsoever. RUN THE DAMN BALL! They hadn't stopped us on the ground. It was a no brainer to run the ball at least twice, maybe even do our version of the tush-push. There was no reason to risk more than we had to.

Probably not going to be popular opinion but 13 points 1 TD against the most banged up D in the league. Sorry not impressed. Going to need more than that to make a run.
Not if you keep a hot (if not the hottest) offense in the league to 3 points.

He did more than what was asked of him. He didnt need to put the team on his shoulders.
On the road,hostile crowd,etc.
I'd say it was impressive.

What pisses me off the most is that this "monkey" has been completely created by the media/bitter Vikings fans and blown completely out of proportion

Lots of QB's have bad games, and the games last year A: weren't as bad as they say B: Not totally his fault

Its a runaway narrative that probably has gotten to him a bit. Wish people would shut up about it (including our fans)

Happy for him today.
You are probably right. I love how the team has his back.
I still remeber when the team took the monkey off of Steve's back after a niners win.

Regardless, he had a record of not winning a big game, but he did multiple times, and i hope his confidence is sky high. Im glad he is on our team.

He made some critical plays on third down that won us that game. He played great. We missed 2 field goals and kneeled out the game when we could have scored. The offense played great the total score doesn't reflect how well they played.
This. Score doesn't even come CLOSE to telling the story. Math is hard sometimes.

his "record" of not winning a big game was 2. 2 games. Total

Narrative has been greatly overblown

He's not perfect, but we can win with him and he's tough. Glad we have him too :)

Seattle's D keeps the O on the field. Look how many opportunities the O had and still only came away with 13. Even if you have a hot O if your D can't get off field its hard to win.

Just saying its going to take a lot more to make it the SB

The nuance of the game was a big part of that

Playing it the way they did was smart. Niners couldn't move the ball hardly at all

They didn't need to get fancy just to impress fans on a message board
Had the fumble been recovered by SF or not had a ball tipped near to goal line for a int those 13 points would probably come up short.

Your explanation acts like they blew the opportunities they had on purpose and did only enough to win. Nice spin but if the Offense doesn't improve it will be a short run.

Played a solid game and moved up and scrambled in the pocket. Missed the easy TD in the flat but who cares now
I think the bigger concern is our kicker missing two FGs.

Even without more redzone TDs, this could've been a 19-3 (at least) win.

Sam missed the easy TD in the flat but it's easy for us to say that while watching from a bird's eye view on TV and not on the field of play where a bunch of 300 pound men are coming after you.
