Bobo… who…? (I sure hope he has been improving behind the scenes).

My guess is he will be the returner this game. Might have to protect Shaheed a bit, at lease early and keep him available for WR duties. Bobo needs better foot quickness to be effective.

If Rasheed cleared the concussion protocol(which he must have to not have a designation) then there’s no reason for him not to be back returning kicks and punts.

I'm pretty sure Bobo is a ST demon.

That settles it. I'm wearing the Bobo jersey tonight.

OK, a naive question, please. On the eve of this ridiculously vital game at SF, with NFC#1 seed at stake, I'm asking a completely trivial question:

Obviously the QB is the operative 'captain' of the offense, when in the field. But who (as chosen?) is the actual 'overall' team captain?

I think its usually organic, but a player or two will emerge as leader types. It might differ team to team, but I'm not entirely certain there is a designated "team captain". Look at Seattle, Leonard Williams and Earnest Jones IV come to my mind as veteran leadership.

The captain thing is more ceremonial .

From what I was told here, this is done on a week-to-week basis where every week it's different.

Has nothing to do with whom they feel is the actual leader or whatever of the team.

Yea, mostly just an honor from team mates and/or coaching staff to go out for coin toss. They used to have to be distributed amongst all phases of game so always a capt on the field to make penalty choices but now days seems like the refs always just go talk to the coaches directly for those decisions.

...and jerseys get a "C" on it so NFL marketing has a way to sell fans 2 jerseys for those players every season...
