D’Anthony Bell is the third Seahawks defensive back claimed off waivers this year. I assume it is generated by extensive use of nickle defenses around the league. As a silver lining, it paints a favorable invite for recruitment of defensive back prospects on day 4 of the draft and for free agents thru out the year. The Seahawks are an attractive organization with which to start an NFL career. And, a good place to restart a pathway to getting on the field.

In my opinion, a potential rematch has little to do with the waiver claim. Bell gives their special teams a needed boost and adds depth to their defensive backfield.
