Glad to see he seems to be doing ok for Carolina. 2025 stats show 50 tackles, 3 ints, even a TD. Hawks could maybe use him??

I can see his point of view, he played well for us, I wanted to keep him, problem is we had too many that finally got healthy and John just was hoping to get anything versus cutting him and getting nothing. He needs to look at it in we valued him enough to make a trade and someone else in the league did as well.

We traded a position we had too much depth for a position we were in dire need at the time. We lost this trade but he was likely being cut anyway

I liked Jackson's tackling. Jackson has been a persistent starter for Panthers over the last two years running. Contributing nearly 100% of the snaps at corner back. Getting on the field make a difference for player development. It's a process.

Dan Morgan became President/General manager of the Carolina Panthers back in 2024. He became a scout with John Schneider in 2010. Then was promoted to assistant director of pro player personnel followed by director of pro player personnel thru 2017. So John and Dan have known each other for some time. Jackson would not take another pay cut. So Morgan got a much needed veteran corner back. And Schneider got some cap relief. It also cleared the air for the Mike Mcdonald era.

All in all, seems like the trade sorted itself out.

He was leading the league in pass breakups as of a few weeks ago. Not sure if he still is. Regardless, Carolina fans seems very happy with him.

Trading him was defensible given our depth at the position at that time. But yeah, would have been nice to have gotten a better return. The guy we traded him for, I don't believe he has even been signed to a practice squad since he was released.

If I remember correctly we had a bunch of scrubs at the position. Still transitioning eras. Good we kept Bryant and changed his position. So it's a win for us. Bum bum, ba ba bum bum, bum.

1 Seahawks gave him a start when nobody would. 2 There wasnt a spot for him to play. Seattle traded him to a team he could play and start.

Jackson, got traded and played a lot for the Panthers. I would be happy Seattle traded me so I can at least play a lot more. With Seattle, he was always a backup and played sparingly. With Carolina, he sees a lot of snaps. Jackson, should be happy no matter what Seattle got for trading him. But, since Seattle is doing so well, I can see why Jackson “misses” Seattle. But at least he gets to play more than he otherwise would in Seattle.
