they had all of training camp to figure to offense out. They put up 31 points week 2. I just think it's funny that you guys are criticizing the media for the "credible opponent" theory but in the same thread making excuses against the credible opponents.

You talk about player continuity but 1/2 the niners defense week one was new and they were the major reason for the win

Week #1 was the starting offense's first game together with a new offensive coordinator and starting quarterback (i.e., they only played a couple series across the preseason). Kubiak also called a strange game. FWIW, this was one of the two quality wins by the 49ers this season such as it was, so project away based on this result.

Of course you don't follow Seattle enough to know that 7 of those 31 points were falling on a ball in the endzone. Not the O. And week 1 the Niners D being "half new". Seattle: New OC, new QB, new #2 WR. We could do this all day.

The gameplan between Game 1 and Game 2 (and onward) is night and day.

Would've scored far more than just 13 points against you guys if Kubiak didn't outsmart himself and overestimate Saleh.

Eh. Again...1 Playaction Pass all game.

Darnold excels in Playaction. (this wasn't a new development. He's been good at doing that his entire career)

So like I said : Kubiak handcuffed Darnold and the offense for most of the game.

You completely missed the point. Has nothing to do with the offense being on fire or having to adjust to defensive game plans late season. Week 1 the game was called completely different than every other game this season. The 49ers had the same coach calling the offense for years, with the same QB and most of the same players from last year. We had new OC, new QB, new #1 WR, new OL coach, 3 new OL starters, etc. They all have chemistry now and Kubiak is much more in tune with his play calling.

Week 1 games are the most worthless games to judge teams by, especially when dealing with news coaches and QBs. The Raiders beat the Patriots for crying out loud.
