I liked the Bears as better game for us but I wondered immediately after the superbowl if they’d run the rematch. The Patriots get a lot of national fans to watch the tv and even though we have a strong fan base it isn’t exactly what the networks are looking for. The Bears may be a better team but they don’t draw fans like the Pats do either.

All I know is I want to start the season with a curb stomp and if that means knocking the Pats down or the Bears I don’t really care.

Whoever made this decision is clueless. The vast majority of NFL fans don't want a SB rematch on the opener, especially one that wasn't close. Even all the mediots are against it.

I wonder if the NFL just doesn't want a Bears or Chargers loss in week 1

All I can think of is they figure they will get a big audience just cause football is back so they aren't worried too much about the opposition.

Hmm, NFL Network showing the Super Bowl right now. Coincidence or a hint?

I’m not saying the Seahawks would not beat the pats, but this is the NFL so do not assume it’s an automatic W.

Pats will be looking for redemption, we will be looking to show it was not as close as the score, we have to have our heads on straight however, this could be looked at as a trap game with the Banner and the opponenet we last beat.

Maturity tells me to not underestimate them. Trap game…could be out for revenge against us. Statement game for the Pats.

Reality tells me we are going to stomp a mud hole in that azz and have Drake Maye doubting the rest of his NFL career while Dirty Diana plays in the background of our postgame celebration.

🥳

Not sure how you can assume a blowout. This is a good football team with a good defense. They'll be plenty motivated.

Hawks by 7-10

Schneider is still managing, and Bobo is playing, at this point, we will dominate regardless of the opponent. It's 40-7 vs 24 - 14; but really, does it matter?

The NFL wants to continue to drag on the Vrabel affair storyline.

After Seattle puts belt to ass again on the Patriots, the Patriots season will effectively end as the NFL will put their efforts into Josh Allen marketing tactics.

Adding the Patriots to Seattle for the first game in which Seattle gets to reveal their banner in front of the team they destroyed in the Super Bowl is diabolical.

I’d rather the Bears be the first victim but if the NFL wants to continue to embarrass the Patriots, who am I to say no??!

I assume a dominant win. That same good football team with that good defense was handed a rather convincing L a short time ago.

Unless you think they’ve gotten dramatically better and we’ve become drastically worse, I don’t know how anyone thinks this isn’t a clear W for the Hawks.

I’m guessing Seattle with the opening drive TD!

That's cool. Assume away. Hope you're right 🤘
Then again, I'll probably get told I want us to lose because I didn't say we'd win 70-0.
