That last 2-pt conversion should satisfy some people (including clueless announcers) saying that Mike and Kubiak aren't aggressive.

Sam Darnold is the taller ginger version of Dave Krieg that throws picks instead of fumbles.

He looks terrible, then out of nowhere, just tossing dimes with dudes in his face while he’s getting hit. Like - where the hell did that come from??? Krieg is the only Qb who gave me that sort of whiplash. The 2 point throw to win the game wasn’t easy either (the throw or the catch) - almost got tipped by DL, almost hit an OL and it still got through.

Full disclosure.

I watched the first quarter live and moved on once the Rams were about to go on top 10-7. I hated how much yards our defense was giving up and it really pissed me off.

The next time we checked the score it was 13-13 early in the 3rd. Okay cool. I guess.

My hypertension gets to take a vacation when I don’t watch these games live. Had I known it was 30-14 with 9 minutes left in the 4th I would have lost my shit.

Once we found out it was 30-30 OT I manned up and watched the entire OT live.

I saw what you all saw.

Sam Mo Fo Darnold ending the obnoxious narrative that he can’t win the big games.

Guess what?! HE CAN!!!

Move on! Seahawks may have proven they are the best team in the NFL tonight. Warts and all. We slayed that dragon. Now let’s secure the #1 seed and take care of the Panthers and 9ers.

Holy hell that may have been the best regular season game I have ever seen in my life. Amazon execs are doing inappropriate things behind closed doors right now.

Al Michaels: “A game for the ages!!”
I don't have much to add except to say that I was there (1st game I attended since the 2013 MNF win over the Saints, 34-7)... and it truly was... "A game for the ages!!"... one that I will take to my grave. My only regret is my recently departed wife wasn't with me to celebrate.

Amazon (Amazon Prime Video) must be doing cartwheels as they were going the the ones who have the Game of the Week out of any games that CBS/FOX would air.

I’m not sure why anyone wanted us to take the PAT there. A tie is as good as a loss. Our defense was tired and the Rams just scored a TD. If they scored again it’s game over and if they don’t there’s a good chance we don’t see the ball anyway. If overtime was a full 15 minutes maybe consider it. If it was early in the season then sure but a tie here may get us in the playoffs but we were getting in the playoffs regardless. This was our opportunity to have a shot at the division and number one seed. We had to go for it
You’re right.

Many times a tie is as good as a win, last night wasn’t the case.
I tie last night would have been a loss. (For all practical purposes)

Might have kept us slightly ahead of the 9ers but wouldn’t have changed much of anything.

I appreciate your stance on Sam, for me however the jury is still out.
I absolutely love the guy, but I think he battling some demons in the dark recesses of his psyche.
My hope and prayer is, that last night was a huge victory for him on the psychological level and that he’s on the road to victory.

The two point conversion is a memory I will never, ever forget.

Both myself and my fiance said "Don't be stupid! Take the extra point and tie the game!!" My girl is the epitome of pragmatic. We felt it would be best to play it safe, tie the game and take our chances with 3 minutes left or whatever it was. When we found out they were going for the 2-point play I stood up, remote in hand, ready to push the button that would immediately move off the game so I didn't have to watch a single second of the Rams celebrating...Damn near hyperventilating...

They hike the ball. Time slowed down.

Trips right formation (3 receivers bunched to the right), Sam looks to his right, everybody is covered of course, I am like "Oh no!!", and then No Name Dude releases from his block and is wide open down the middle and Sam finds him for an easy toss...He catches the ball and it was...

INSTANT ECSTACY!!!!!

My girl jumped off the coach and started screaming in joy, bouncing up and down and I quickly joined her...The most joyous, awkward middle-aged couple celebration you have ever seen, so damn glad it wasn't caught on video or it might have gone viral...

We both said afterwards it felt like we won the Super Bowl and it really, really did.

The first thing I said once I gained my composure was "I am just so happy for Sam!" I knew in that moment that the national narrative was slayed. No more talk that Sam couldn't win in the biggest, brightest moments.

Like Al Michaels said, "A game for the ages."

I will never forget this game, and especially that game-winning moment for the rest of my life.

I also was thinking what a ballsy decision to go for 2 there but then later found out that a TIE doesn't help the Seahawks here (but in fact helps the Rams) which is why Mac went for 2.

He knew that this was the only way to try and win the game.

I watched the last play for the 2 pt. win through my finger like a five year old at a scary movie. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one.

The bar I was at had the game on and I watched it until the bar closed. I did not see overtime. I did see them tie it up tho.

For my part, I didn't watch the whole game (Kudos to @AROS for braving that OT) so when I looked at the final score and saw it was 38-37 in OT, I figured it was a wild one.

Then I saw the stats and my eyes just bugged out of my sockets at Stafford's numbers.

Then I saw Sam's Stats and I'm like "Okay it was a Solid game for him which is far better than his first outing against the Rams this season".

Watching the Replay (on NFL+), however, and seeing where this team was (30-14 in the 4th quarter) after Sam threw those two picks (last one looked very NY Jets'ish Sam Darnold there much to my dismay), I still couldn't believe what I was watching after that with what I think is the Greatest Comeback I have ever seen in an NFL game.

First off, thank god for Rashid Shaheed. The player many thought was a "Luxury" turned into a necessity when Horton went down and he's been MONEY. (Please give the Executive-Of-The-Year award to JS already)

His Punt return for a TD was soon after Sam's 2nd (and most brutal-looking) INT, and it changed the overall vibe of the game.

Then Darnold just goes and shows EVERYONE that he IS the Seahawks QBOTP (Quarterback of the Present) *AND* QBOTF (despite a few "fans" bad takes) with his clutch performance late.

I am beyond thrilled with what happened.

Now all the pundits like Stephen ASS Smith can't say "Sam can never win a big game". SUCK IT.

Yup last game that good imo was the NFCCG vs the 49ers in what would become a historic SB victory later on
That you won. Week 17 2019 against the 49ers was also the same significance

Sorry to hear that.

I’m in the beginning stages of divorce (I think) so, the dub last night made me even more excited and energized than I already was!

Life’s good.

Great post, @AROS.

This was the first game I’ve gotten to see live in more than a month. Ashamed to say I actually turned it off after the red zone pick, intending to spend time with my family. But just before I headed upstairs, I thought, “I’ll just check in and see if LA scored again.”

Right after I got logged back in, BAM!, punt return for a TD. By the time I got upstairs, much later, everyone was in bed. Oh well — the ending was totally worth it.

I think a tie would have secured a wildcard spot because the Lions wouldn’t have been able to catch them.
