We've already accomplished more than I expected this season,. Coming into the season i figured we were still a few players away. I still think that. So to scrape out a probable 12, 13 win season is progress and I'll take it. Another solid off season, and i think we will be one of the favorites going into next season.

So everything now to me at this point is gravy. Would like to see a deep playoff push, and I think we can do that, regardless of our playoff seed. But are we better than the Rams? I'm not convinced we are, but i guess we'll find out tonight.

Long story short, this season has already been a success to me, 3rd best record in the league after a two year rebuild. I'll take that all day long.

I think their offense is better than our offense, and our defense is better than their defense - but we are talking top 5 for both.
But 3 things in our favour - I think our special teams edges it, it looks like Adams is doubtful so that levels the offenses a bit, and finally, Rams have had to travel on a short week.

Last game we put ourselves in the hole immediately within the first quarter. If we can build up a league I feel a bit more confident we can turn the screw - but the Rams have been down big several times this year and come back so hopefully we play aggressively to put points on the board.

Here's my response to your nervousness, @pmedic920 : Embrace it, it's beautiful. Thank god the Seahawks are playing in a meaningful game in December. You're nervous because you're excited and the stakes couldn't be higher. This is everything we hoped for back in August.
This is how I feel. It's the first time in 10 years where I honestly feel that we have the potential of being the best team in the league.

So long as I make it over the pass, I'll be in attendance at tonight's game. I'm in Walla Walla, up early after having attended an informal get together with a bunch of old high school friends, so I'll get an early start. I bought new tires for my 4x4 pickup truck and tossed a couple of 80lb bags of cement in the back for ballast. The weather looks a little dicey, but so long as there's no car wrecks, I should be ok.

I’m actually stoked to be as nervous as I am.
It’s absolutely nerves and excitement.

Im not sure why but I’ve had a 💩 feeling that if we don’t win it’s the end of our hopes for this year. I KNOW that it’s not.

Man, how nice would it be to snatch that #1 seed as a launching point for the postseason!

I’m certainly jealous, and I’d be there if I could.

Please travel safely and cheer extra loud to make up for my absence.

Not gunna lie, not gunna try to disguise it.

I can’t shake it.

I’m nervous AF.

I KNOW I’m not being logical, after all it’s only a game.
Rite?

Anyone else?
I feel the exact same way. I've tried self talk and every other tactic but nothing is working lol.

It's funny too because there are reasons for us not to be nervous. Our defense completely stifled their offense, they just got great field position because of the turnovers. We also moved the ball fairly well too.

I'm always nervous. I have high anxiety. Why would I expect today to be any different? I do have some confidence though.

After many years of tangled nerves I hope to avoid nervousness over things I do not control. Since I have control of nothing concerning this game I will attack the inability to actually play with all the vigor I can muster, cuss my way through the bad times, and scream like a demon during the good stuff. Let it all out and the nerves fade away.
Oh, and don't look for me here until the final results have settled in!

Be very careful, please. The storms have turned cold and there is significant snow in the mountains. Hwy 2 is closed, I believe 12 is as well. Snoqualamie has some issues as well with slides and trees down, etc.

Hoping all goes well.

I love this because it illustrates so perfectly how we are so myopic with our diehard fandom we seem to lose sight that other team fans are just like us! Many Rams fans are just as nervous as we are.

I honestly feel that the Rams have more to lose than we do since they are the media darlings and are expected by many to beat us even in our house.

This is one of those historic defining games that can alter the trajectory of this era’s team for years.

Seize it.

I am nervous for the game!

I do disagree that Rams have more to lose than the Hawks tho - the season is not over if Rams lose. It just means a more difficult path to the SB.

Hawks are a phenomenal team this year. A loss to them is a loss to one of the top 2 teams in the NFL.

Plus I still think it's hard to beat a team 3 times.

I’m not sure how the two of you handle these days.

🤪🤬😭🫣
This is a very valid point. lol. I think we have a healthy respect for how good the other's team is even though we are dedicated to our own team. I think it would be harder if we didn't both understand the game itself.

Also, I really like to see JTT happy. So there is that if we lose.

Neither team will be out of the running with a loss (obviously) but dam it changes a lot for either.

I think you have us offensively
We have you defensively and special teams.

I have zero confidence in Sam in the biggest games, but if he doesn’t shit the bed I believe the rams have a depression filled flight home.

Here’s to an injury free AND fairly officiated game

Cheers 🍻

Agree with all of that.

I do believe if the Rams Offense can go off against the Hawks Defense, then the game is the Rams. Tough challenge.

Darnold will be ready to face his Rams demons, I think he does it well in the beginning of the game but fades. I expect a confident Darnold initially.

Cheers to a healthy and hard fought, earned game!

(stay out of it refs!).
