The backup is Riley Leonard, who looked like he was running with concrete shoes in the National Championship Game for Notre Dame last year.

We're getting really fortunate with these backup QBs lately. This will be three weeks in a row and four in the past six.

I’m not sure either teams starter would have changed the outcome the past two games

I hate rooting for injuries, but this does make next week's game a bit easier...

Probably not. McCarthy actually played well today, but that was against the dumpster fire that is the current Commanders. Penix had a few solid outings, likely would have been marginally better than Cousins, but not enough to make a real difference.

I think Russ gets released by the Giants and the Colts pick him up to carry the torch from Jones....revenge game vs the city that that hates him...
Me3 couldn't run the Colts offense at all, they do have WRs that he
could try to chuck it up to them but other than a lucky pass here
and there he'd be a complete disaster in Indy.

I liked Leaonard as a project. He can run and has a decent arm. He's way ahead of Milroe in terms of NFL readiness. They are the leading rushing team in the NFL. we will need to stone the run and rush the rookie. not great pressure this game for some reason. need to get back to it.

I think we’ve gone 22 straight games without allowing a 100 yard rusher. Breaking that streak is probably the biggest threat Indy will have next week.
