It took a last second FG to beat them last time, and that was with both Spoon and Love in the lineup. Now we could be without EJones this game.

McBride is a good TE and Harrison has found his confidence.

Yes this should be a game we win but it's a divisional game, so we'll see.
Come on man. That was REFS trying to steer that game. Hawks were in control the entire time. Just typical Refs trying to make a prime time game close. It gets really old. And it's very common these days.

A couple garbage time TDs. Arizona had 253 total yards in that game.

Glad they told us early in the week. Ha
That's actually a good point.

Normally, Head Coaches wait until the last minute before announcing the starter to keep the next opponent a bit off-balance.

Them telling the world right now (Tuesday) gives MacDonald and the Hawks plenty of time to prepare for Brissett instead of Kyler.

Remember also that stupid-as-hell BS penalty that the ref gave JSN where he was being tackled but instead was called for "holding" on what could've been a game-clinching TD by Charbs?

Defense and special teams did. The offense definitely relaxed in the second half, though.
I give the O a pass on that. After all, when you go into the 2d half with a big lead you're most important strategy is to kill the clock. We did score in the 3d quarter, just not the 4th.

In addition, they needed all that work on the running game. Good time to do it with a big lead.

A lot of "come from behind with a huge deficit to win the game in the last moment" games can be traced back to this exact behavior in the second half. I get it - run a lot, make the clock run faster, give the opponent less time to stage a comeback. I just believe that thinking is a bit old and stale for the modern NFL and that it shouldn't automatically be the default behavior or mindset that teams drop into when they go up big in the first half.

Did they? He was still throwing passes when they were up 31-7
"Throwing passes" is so vague. It's not that simple. The play calling and offensive formations changed a lot in the second half. It's not even an example of "there's passing, and then passing"...it's more like, there's passing, and then Passing, and then PASSING, and then !!PASSING!!, and then OMFG WE ARE PASSING TO KILL, RAPE, PILLAGE, AND PLUNDER!

:)

Let us hope our DLine can rub Brissett hard in their usual fashion which proves uncomfortable for him, while slobberknocking their TEs, WRS, and running backs.

Our defencse is not at all soft like that of the cowgirls.

AZ is in for a tough game.

If I were Coach Mcd I'd prepare for Brissett and for Murray b/c the game might get out of control early for AZ.

This is good. Brissett is good at eliminating mistakes, but he makes absolutely nothing happen on his own, and I havn't really been impressed with him at all since his first year in Indy. He's the guy who keeps getting jobs because he has experience, but he never plays well enough to stick around.

I remember him as a guy Schneider was reportedly very interested in in his draft year. He's made out a solid career for himself, all things considered. Wouldn't have been the answer for anything though.

His career stats are very similar to Mitch Trubisky's. He may have a future ordering burgers at drive-thru windows for teenagers.
