They really are abysmal.

I don't really feel like there is much hop eon the horizon for them.

Just more suffering.

72 Dolphins and the Dan Marino years is peak Miami Dolphins football. Stephen Ross, needs to sell. It’s been proven. New ownership is usually what it takes to bring a team out of the pit.

Tua looks scared when he plays. There was a play last night where instead of just running to his left, he throws it into the ground. WAY before a defender was near him. He also throws tentative. Good luck with that contract. And when is it going to be enough for them to get rid of coach math teacher? Holy hell. Some guys should just be coordinators.

Ah, I see your point. But I think Tua had even a higher dead cap hit this year than Russ, and the Dolphins, being in a worse salary cap situation, had no way of absorbing that.

Had Tua chose to retire in 2024, the fins would not have been on the hook as they would be for releasing him. It was entirely in McDaniel’s interest to talk up Tua’s backup harder than Payton promoted Stidham while being detached and icy about Tua’s efforts to return as opposed to taking on a protective avuncular role over Tua and the substantial extended family that McDaniel kept reminding fans of.

His having a heart probably will cost him his job.

I can't really feel sorry for a man that's making millions of dollars and made mistakes to bring on his own downfall... I just can't...

I do feel sorry for McDaniel for prioririzing Tua’’s emotional health in 2022 and 2024 when, bluntly, being like Payton might have saved his career.

Not sure how the Dolphins as a franchise can move forward. But their roster is a talented roster and they just need more better direction to make some tough decisions which is why Grier is out.
