Why not trade for Joel Bitonio?

Cleveland is going nowhere this season, and Bitonio may retire after this one. He is a great player still.

Really wanted D.Lewis back but Brady Christiansen’s injury probably also puts them in the market for RG band-aid.

Teams are likely to go hard for Zietler and Teller, Bitonio does makes sense but if he’s traded it’ll probably be to a team thats close proximity to Cleveland.

Ive been looking at Matt Pryor from the Eagles, he might not be a stud, but he’s currently RG2 for the Eagles, has the positional versatility, and the upside that spending time in the Eagles Oline program made him better.

Doubt they 1 for 1 with Bradford but Christian Haynes might make sense as they could use controllable cheap youth and a return to the East Coast for Haynes closer to his family/friends might help him unlock his mental block. Best case scenario: Haynes and a 7th for Pryor and 6th.

Getting another guy for a year or so probably doesn't help. Long term thinking.

I read teams at the bottom (guards that could be available mostly Cle, NO, Ten) likely don’t want to part with O line players because it weakens their line and does no favors to help their rookie QBs grow.

Really would benefit from his services but could really hurt like his family back in Cleveland on a personal note.
Like EVERY trade? I feel like you guys are stating the obvious, here. 🤔

EVERY player who's been with a team 3+ years has put down roots that make some trades "uncomfy". That's one of the reasons why they get paid like they do.

Another great lineman that we had the opportunity to draft, but we (Pete) got cute. Where's that guy we drafted over the Pro Bowl Center that plays for KC?

Eskridge? The guy with 62 yards on the season for Miami? Warms the heart, doesn't it?

(Eskridge was pick 56 of the NFL draft and Creed Humphrey was taken at 63)

I almost detest these trade deadlines. They create this largely artificial deadline that incentivizes teams, particularly sellers, to wait it out as long as they can in an effort to squeeze as much out of potential buyers as possible. It bottles up the trade market. I'd almost like to see them done away with, though I can see a reason or two why that might not be feasible.

As an aside, the Chiefs also picked Trey Smith with pick 226 (6th round). Both Humphrey and Smith started every game in their rookie season. Except for one missed game in 2022, and this week, he has not missed a start since. Humphrey's has started every one of the 75 games that the Chiefs have played since he was drafted.

He currently trails only Gary Barbora (101 consecutive starts) for most consecutive starts by a KC Chief player.

The Seahawks came away from the 2021 draft with Pick 56 Eskridge, Pick 137 Tre Brown, and Pick 208 Stone Forsythe

If they really wanted a WR at that pick, the Rams picked Tutu Atwell the pick right after, and he's had a far more productive career than the currently injured Eskridge. Scouting sucked that year.

Going to interesting to see what they do at RG for the rest of the year. I heard a quote that MM said they weren't making any changes at RG over the BYE. This line has been the best we've had in a long while and is only going to get better outside of RG, one piece could make it a strength. I just don't see Bradford turning it around, I don't know what they see. I hope they make a move.

Zeitler, Teller, Bitonio... those are the best of the bunch that might be available. Might be another guy that nobody is talking about. If we can even get an average guy would be a boost.

Posturing. They always say that, even if they are looking. Remember when we heard from JS that Geno was our guy? Then about a nanosecond after the contract talks with Geno hit a wall, Darnold was brought in to be our QB. Like JS wasn't already in close contact with Darnold's agent before this. LOL

The team does see him a lot more than any of us since they see him all day every day. We don't see practices. Plus the fans are looking for any reason to hate him. When they focus on the negatives you miss any and all of the positives, and yes he has had positives on gameday. Also, as fans, we say oh just throw this pick at X team for Y player and that will get it done. That's rarely ever the case for whatever reason.

C'mon man. I think the majority of fans would love if he turned it on and was at least average or better. I remember a lot of fans being pretty happy that he was looking good in preseason. Maybe a bit guarded but hoping it continued.

We're you dogging on fans when they weren't happy with the way Woolen was playing too?
