Why not trade for Joel Bitonio?

C'mon man. I think the majority of fans would love if he turned it on and was at least average or better. I remember a lot of fans being pretty happy that he was looking good in preseason. Maybe a bit guarded but hoping it continued.

We're you dogging on fans when they weren't happy with the way Woolen was playing too?
No, but you're also missing the point. There are not montages being posted online of cherry-picking bad plays (when he was hurt mind you) by some loser in his mother's basement of Woolen like there are Bradford. It just gets old, and I can guarantee no one is looking for good plays, only the bad. When you can only find a handful of bad plays and he's played every snap this season he must not be that bad when people are focusing on it.

Do I think we can upgrade at that position? Like everyone else, yes! But we also only see a 3-hour work week. The team sees so much more than we ever will. These people are even smarter at this stuff than any of us. If they think they are fine, I'll trust their evaluation.

Another great lineman that we had the opportunity to draft, but we (Pete) got cute. Where's that guy we drafted over the Pro Bowl Center that plays for KC?
I had really hoped we would draft Bitonio.

Love both of those OL. Plus almost anyone from Ohio State would be good.

Do the giants have a guard worth trading for. They basically made it know that Thibs is on the trading block, so trade for Thibs and a guard.

The thing is - the three hours we see are what matters.

Practice without results on game day means little to nothing if he never turns the corner

Eskridge? The guy with 62 yards on the season for Miami? Warms the heart, doesn't it?

(Eskridge was pick 56 of the NFL draft and Creed Humphrey was taken at 63)
So, theoretically we could have traded back to 62, picked up draft capital, and drafted Humphrey!

Pete was the head of the Seahawks, and I believe he parlayed his success in to trading away high picks for injury prone "toys," and making wild picks in the draft. I think he let people in the Seahawks coaching staff make some of those decisions, and was the reason for such crap Olines.

I also think Pete overrode JS on a lot of those stupid decisions, but John always put on a good face to the public, making it look like he was good with the trade or pick.

Exactly. It's that easy. Just push a button and get any player you want. Clearly there's no competition for a solid O Lineman.
Yeah, here's where I usually jump in and comment on stupid fantasy football mindsets. ;)

I read teams at the bottom (guards that could be available mostly Cle, NO, Ten) likely don’t want to part with O line players because it weakens their line and does no favors to help their rookie QBs grow.
Nah! The .NET crew think Schneider can just go out and trade a ham sandwich for a starting caliber guard.

No one said finding a quality guard in this market would be easy. Doesn't mean they shouldn't try. Anyone can be had for the right price.
