Best part of next week is :It'd be nice if the Hawks can win the next 2 and go into the bye at 5-2. I think everybody would feel pretty good about that.
We need either Spoon or Love next week. Were right there in the hunt. Just have to keep improving every week. And we need some key players to get healthy. Mainly Love, he was missed sorely today. Take this L and learn from it. Move onto Jacksonville.
It's bitter sweet, because this team could easily have been 5-0![]()
Yep, I think it's pretty obvious that Darnold is just a really solid, gutsy and calm QB. The pick at the end was a fluke. He was trying to throw it away and it hit the dude's helmet. Stupid play call anyway, imo. There's no getting around that yesterday hurt bad (I wish I didn't care as much as a I do). But I woke up feeling great about the future of this team...because of Sam Darnold! Last year wasn't an anomaly. Five games in is enough to think that last year wasn't a fluke and that he's one of the best QB's in the league at this point. This looks like when the Lions got Goff, the Rams got Stafford, the Bucs got Mayfield of course, etc. It set of a multi-year competitive run for those teams. I was fully on the Milroe hype train this summer with visions of Jalen Hurts in my head, but I can now see Darnold being our multi-year answer.

Just bugs me that without those two that the D was a complete:We need either Spoon or Love next week.
This defense was just rudderless and listless (and STUPID) without any leadership on the field..
well this is just my opinion but after what I saw last night from Milroe where he couldn't even do a simple pitch/toss to the running back (something that's f*cking Peewee League), I'm not so sure he'll develop into anything close to a starting QB, let alone Jalen Hurts. There's no getting around that yesterday hurt bad (I wish I didn't care as much as a I do). Not running it on 2nd and 2 when we had all 3 of our timeouts.Yep, I think it's pretty obvious that Darnold is just a really solid, gutsy and calm QB. The pick at the end was a fluke. He was trying to throw it away and it hit the dude's helmet. Stupid play call anyway, imo.

As good as that sounds, but with the injuries on defense 4-3 sounds more realistic (God willingIt'd be nice if the Hawks can win the next 2 and go into the bye at 5-2. I think everybody would feel pretty good about that.
