Injuries were the reason for the loss today

Not freaking out here because you just can’t have that many defensive backs out and expect them to perform like normal. Baker was picking the secondary apart with all of the backups. Is what it is, but I would say that if a couple of the starters who were hurt were playing, Seattle wins that game.

I think MM was afraid to put the Back ups in man coverage.
Least it appeared to me that we went zone most of the time.

Maybe one of our gurus will post up a breakdown?

*hint hint

The Bucs had injuries too. The difference was the turnovers and the refs.

- Neutral zone infraction not called on the Int. Blatant hold and block in the back not called on the tunnel screen right before the final Bucs TD. Along with numerous plays where Baker was only able to scramble after huge holds.
- stupid coaching decision to put Milroe in resulting in a turnover

If you want to be one of those guys and pretend that the refs don't matter in a game of inches, then you can blame the decision to put Milroe in and Meyers missing a FG

1- The refs were bad for both teams today.
2- The Milroe call was just plain stupid. 3- On the interception, I truly didn’t understand why on second down and 2 yards to go with plenty of time on the clock they decide to throw the ball there. Why not just pick up the first down on a safe play and get as many yards as you can out of it by running it. I was saying to myself right before that snap do not throw the ball here. It was a freak bounce off of a helmet, but that stuff happens when you put the ball in the air. With all that said, having that many backups and having to go to zone D for most of the game was the biggest determining factor in the loss.

Refs and injuries are not the reason for the loss. Just own it already, some of you are starting to sound like whiners.

If you think I'm wrong go back in a few days and read through the comments on the game day chat.

No wonder a lot of the old timer poster are gone.

Not gonna judge our defense at all today. Those pressure stats from the last month don't stop being true when Spoon, Love, Hall, and Lawrence are all out. Depth may be an issue.

Ehh,,,,it's a learning lesson. MM had some questionable calls. Injuries and lack of depth contributed for sure. Also, as I said last week, Meyers is going to lose us a few games throughout the season. This was one of them.

Missed field goal? Or maybe that we played a really good team and just lost?
One missed field goal when the other team scores 38 points isn’t the reason. Why is it so hard for people to understand yes, they played a good team, but also they had almost half of their defensive starters injured by the end of the first quarter? That is why you give up 38 points.
