Just a FYI. Here's how PFF has ranked our team according to their metrics. These simply are how our players as a whole graded out irrespective of final scores or statistics. Please note that this includes last night's Rams-Niners game.

Passing: #3. Top Ranked: Rams
Pass Blocking: #10. Top Ranked: Broncos
Receiving: #1. Top Ranked: Seahawks
Rushing: #6. Top Ranked: Chargers.
Run Blocking: #15. Top Ranked: Bills
Overall Offense: #2. Top Ranked: Rams.

Run Defense: #5. Top Ranked: Browns
Tackling: #29. Top Ranked: Steelers
Pass Rush: #11. Top Ranked: Browns
Coverage: #14. Top Ranked: Chiefs
Overall Defense: #8. Top Ranked: Browns.

The tackling ranking surprised me, almost like it's an oxymoron. How can we be ranked 5th in run defense and 8th in overall defense while we finished 29th in tackling?

There was a play in the steelers game, if I remember correctly it was a screen pass to the RB, and he went 60+ yards. I think every seahawk on the field had a shot at him and whiffed. Maybe the sheer number of missed tackles on that play throws off the statistics. :p

Correction every Seahawk from the last decade had a chance to make the tackle

I remember that play, and in all seriousness, it's plays like those that can skew the numbers, especially when you're just 4 games into the season.

A couple years ago when we had Diggs and Adams at safety, one of the reasons why they got ranked so low was because the guys in front of them weren't making tackles, which exposed them. On a team with a good front 7, your safeties won't have very many opportunities to whiff.
