The right to compete for a spot?

What NFL coach wouldn’t give one of his players the “right to compete for a spot”?

Unless you have some context to add, I call BS on the “benching” you speak of.

If it happens it happens but I don’t think this particular tweet/x means anything other that what it says.

DK has earned the right to compete for a spot.

So far, this is click bait at best.

Having Devon and Kendrick out there at the same time allows for additional wrinkles were those to flip in zone coverages adding to different things to confuse opposing QBs.

Been thinking about it this last week. I'd rather have him as serviceable depth, than see him go for a 4th round pick.

Yes he's had some horrific penalties, and he's by far the worst DB against the run. But his passing numbers aren't as bad as folks make out.

Having said that, I think if given the opportunity, Kendrick is every bit as good, if not better than Woolen. Time will tell.

In a perfect world, I completely agree. And they may indeed do that. But what we fans don't know is how he is in the locker room and if he's strong enough to take the demotion. Gut feeling tell me he's not and they'll try and move him before he's a distraction and they can actually get something in return.

I mean.... That was just me stating my opinion on what it sounded like.

I never tried to pass it off as being true, though. (it's the whole "eye of the beholder" thing)

But anyway, hearing that Kendrick will be getting more of an opportunity is a good thing, though I do agree with you on the "right to compete" comment.

Remember that this was a question asked and not MacDonald saying verbatim the "right to compete" thing.

Sometimes our media asks very odd questions.

BTW, I believe "click bait" around here is simply a new thread.
