Good, they aren’t on YouTube TV for some strange reason. Won’t have to care in the future.

Is it good though? Who is going to be broadcasting M's games in the future?

MLB Network:

The Seattle Mariners announced Friday that they will shut down Root Sports Northwest at the end of the 2025 season, shifting all aspects of broadcast production, carriage, and streaming of Mariners games to Major League Baseball beginning in 2026.

Well, I'm concerned. I can't afford to buy 5 different streaming services to watch the games.

This. I imagine this is just a way to make fans have to subscribe to some services to be able to watch the games.

Gotta love all these "choices" we have nowadays. Either pay up for all the streaming services or you don't get to watch.

Y'know, it's hilarious all the hemming and hawing on here about where the Mariners will be next season, considering that when the Kraken left Root, they went to basic broadcast on the CW, making their games FAR MORE accessible.

I hated teams having regional cable network. Glad they're dying. I miss being able to watch the M's over the air on KSTW.

You still paying for shitty cable or dish?

Yes. Everything we want or need all from 1 service. I'd rather not have to figure out what content is available on what app or streaming service and have to subscribe to (and pay for) a bunch of different shit.

I'm getting Fubo, which has/had Root Sports and has MLB/MLB Strike Zone in the same package I'm getting now, which includes NFL Red Zone, ESPN, etc.

We've gone down this path before in other threads. Sure, it's more complicated. But the dilution of the streaming market isn't costing us any more in the long run than the extremely expensive cable or satellite providers we used to have to get our sports fixes from when you consider that you can share a subscription if you pay the extra bucks for a family package. With my Fubo subscription, I can have up to 10 screens active at once, so I'm sharing my subscription with my brother and daughter.

Disclaimer: I am not a salesman for Fubo.

Does that mean mlb network will start showing in market games or will that be an extra cost?

You're paying more for that than you would for all the streaming services. Period. And cable will only be going up for worse service as they lose more money.

How much does it cost for fubo and Internet service? And does that include a half dozen ESPN channels, a few Fox Sports channels, MLB Network, NFL Network, NHL Network, Big10 Network, SEC Network, ACC Network, CBS Sports, all the movie channels plus the ability to watch any of the movie channel content on demand, all the local channels, plus an absolute shit load of other content and channels?

Here's the plan I'm getting:

Elite with Sports Plus
$104.99/mo

311 channels

ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC

Local NBA, NHL and MLB games

ESPN Unlimited included

Sports Plus with NFL RedZone

4K included

Unlimited Cloud DVR

Watch on up to 10 screens at once

The other thing that you can do is change your subscription level at any time. So, I'll drop the Sports Plus package that I needed to have in order to watch NFL Red Zone in January once the regular season is over.

Here's a website that details the package and can probably answer most of your questions:

But you also need to pay for Internet service as well, yeah?
