That's the advantage that streaming offers, i.e. flexibility. The problem is learning all of the idiosyncrasies of the various streaming platforms as each one has a different menu, viewer guide, FF/Rew buttons, etc. It really pisses off my wife when I change providers.

If you get the streaming services inside of Prime the apps work better. So let's say you like something on Paramount. Pick Yellowstone and purchase paramount inside prime. Syncs the menus. I'm not a marketer just saying.;) There is

20251120 203106also an easy to find subscription list with due dates and prices. No devices needed.

Think how much more popular the Mariners would be if games were more accessible on over the air tv like Fox 13 or whatever similar to the Seahawks. The Kraken have learned this going to fox 13+/Prime and the sounder initial popularity was helped by this (they seem to be suffering from being behind Apple)

Yeah, I kinda saw something like that in my Prime account. I might give it a try. Thanks for the tip.

Which cable?
Xfinity, but I also do internet and mobile for 3 lines through them.. its highly discounted as the bundle.... I get thats not feasible for a lot of people. But thats how it works out for me. Paramount+, Peacock, Prime Video, Max, Hulu (not the ad free one unfortunately and that sucks cuz hulu seems to have friggen ads every 4 minutes) and Disney+.... easy instant login via provider.. their search system lets you watch on your specific platform wh ere available.. or straight stream from their service for tons of shows. Next day on demand etc.

Im actually quite pleased with their overall service, package and price point (2 gb internet etc) Easy to get international travel fixed pricing (15.99 add on per line for a month for voice and daily data (5gb a day) etc for our trips to Europe lately)

--

Tip from me is when you get a change in your bill you ask why they normally say "Promotion period is over" you say ok, well id like to cancel my services, as DirectTV (other named provider in your area) is offering a X year thing... and you are offering lifetime price lock for new customer. I think Ill just switch

I know its a pain to take the time.. but you will easily just get the new rate and agreement for 30 mins of your time. (Maybe less) THey want to retain you regardless of the price.

How to watch is one thing but I wonder if we will still have a home broadcast team for the games. Or will it be like nfl and dummies like gross Olsen… imagine Eric Byrnes and AJ pierzynski
It kinda sounds like they're staying:

Mariners chairman John Stanton informed staff of the closure in a meeting at ROOT Sports’ Bellevue headquarters earlier this year. About 25 employees will be laid off, though some on-air talent, including analysts Angie Mentink and Ryan Rowland-Smith, and host Brad Adam, are expected to continue in new roles with the Mariners or the league. Aaron Goldsmith was already an employee of the team.

"We continue to focus on finding new ways to bring our games in 2026 and beyond to our fans and we’ve determined joining with Major League Baseball is the best path," the team said in a statement. "Beginning in 2026 and moving forward, Major League Baseball will provide opportunities to bring new features and benefits to viewers of Mariners baseball."
