In the airport, so I couldn’t hear the audio, but ESPN Sunday Coubtdown just did a pretty long spot on Beastquake I.
Interviews with Lynch, Hasslebeck, and Chris Berman. Lynch talked for a good bit.
Creative editing of the still shots, and clipping of the video, to remove the crotch grab. Booo.
Cool to see the Hawks getting some national attention.
After that run, I remember thinking it was one of the greatest runs of all time, and would be featured in ESPN highlight reels for long time.
Personal opinion, I think it cemented Lynch’s place in the HOF, despite all the production stats, as the defining run of a generation.
No specific point to this post, other than to say it is awesome to see the media paying some sort of attention to the Hawks, even if it is the team of a different era, and even if they are back to slobbering Cowboy knob now. I’ll be looking to see if I can find a replay of it.
