This YouTube BS is an abomination!!! And absolute abomination!!! Roger the dipshit Goodell said: "hey, I know fans wait all year to see their team play...how about we give them a huge middle finger and have the game in a foreign country!"

I agree with what the NFL does by playing games in foreign countries I feel worst for the season ticket holders of the team that is the designated home team they lose a game from their season ticket but will still pay the same amount

Agreed. Grow the brand, great idea. I don't mind watching on youtube. Streaming is streaming regardless of which service I'm using.

But Hawkinaz is right; if they're charging season ticket holders for the game, that's just wrong.

I hate just about everything this asshole does. Then again he's just a puppet for the owners so I'm sure the next guy won't be any better.

I was glad that I was able to stream both games so far, despite not paying for YouTube TB, or Peacock.

Don’t know if they were giving them away for free as a loss leader, or if there was a glitch, but that was nice.

Fingers crossed that all Hawks’ games are on Fox this year.

All broadcasts on Amazon, YouTube, and Peacock are carried locally, just like ESPN and TNT broadcasts in the 1990s.

It's ridiculous how pissy people get over this shit. Join us in the 21st century. Cable is dead.

I get a little pissy about it because I don’t want to have to figure out which streaming service which game is on, only to find out I don’t subscribe to THAT streaming service, when all I want to do is just want to sit down and watch some damn football. I don’t have cable, or any OTA at my house, so I’m glad for streaming services.

I do think it will get better over time, though I can’t foresee it getting any cheaper.

I would love to be able to just pay for a subscription to all Seahawks games, without all the other crap, but that’s not possible yet.

As I said, LITERALLY EVERY Seahawks game that isn't on basic broadcast (EG: ESPN, Amazon, Peacock, YouTube) IS SIMULCAST on a local network, the Seattle area ones being KOMO 4, KING 5, KIRO 7, or KCPQ 13. This has been STANDARD since ESPN started broadcasting the first incarnation of Sunday Night Football in 1987, back when only half the population had cable. You are bitching about something that has NEVER been a problem EVER, except when the NFL still used it's draconian home blackout rule that was suspended a decade ago.

And if you're out of market, you already had to pay through the teeth to watch all the Seahawks games, and streaming didn't change a damn thing about that.

Perhaps you have me confused with someone else.

How did you arrive at the conclusion that I was pining for some mythical, utopian past, when

1 - I thanked the NFL for making the first two games available for free, despite streaming them on services that require a subscription

2 - I expressed hope that all Seahawks games would be broadcast on Fox this season (which everyone can stream for free), and

3 - I expressed my belief that the streaming would get better over time, hopefully to the point we could purchase a season stream for our favorite team?

Not once did I say anything about it being better in the past. I wasn’t even really bitching about the current offering, other than expressing my dislike for the fractionalization of content across multiple streaming services.

If I have a bone to pick with the NFL, it is this. The NFL is a multi billion dollar media empire. Not a sporting empire, a media empire built on sports. Yet their streaming rollout could not have been more boomer.

As someone who hasn’t lived in market, for many years, and also who hasn’t had cable/dish/OTA broadcast nearby for almost as long, I’m ecstatic to have the option of streaming these games. I’ve been streaming all of my content for as long as streaming has been an option. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Fox streaming via VPN location came through for the win, again. I’m in the mountains, chasing elk, and stopped to catch the game.

The region I’m hunting in was broadcasting Niners Saints, so I VPNed into Seattle.

Was able to watch the Fox Sports stream for the entire game.

Very nice.
