CMC is questionable, and didn’t practice today. He worked out with trainers, on the sideline. Even if he plays, he won’t be full strength & full participation.

Although, with Shannahan as his coach, he isn’t going to get much protection there.

Should have never had him returning punts. I know Ken Easley volunteered to be our punt returner briefly but Jake's not quite the athlete #45 was.
Hopefully Bobo heals up and returns soon, we need his blocking and red zone skills.

Any speculation on practice ready squad promotions?

A return specialist / wide out?

A nose tackle?

A calf injury can blow up into an Achilles issue in a flash. I think the guys calf is a ticking time bomb.
The Niners have used the "calf" designation to describe achillies setbacks. So I think you're spot on

I would think with two receivers out they may elevate one to be safe but that might be why they kept 6 in the first place.

Both receivers are important to special teams. So ..... one of the safeties listed on the ready team could be elevated to fill in next Sunday. D'Anthony Bell? Jerrick Reed III?

It’ll be interesting to see who they use. With Pete it got to be pretty easy to figure it out. I’m sure it’ll get there after some time with Macdonald

Offense should be better than that. I'm pulling for Boo Boo. But he hasnt done anything..at all. Ever. We ain't talking about practice.

He'll be on the sideline, he's good for moral and hyping dudes up.

"His one yard a year" reminded me of John Ursua, who was kinda the Bobo of 2019, but with less actual substance. I called him "Ursuselah" because he was pretty old for a player with so little experience (25-year-old rookie, I think), but many other Seahawks fans at the Seahawks fan blog with the stupid-ass name that's part of SB Nation, a place I frequented until November of 2020, were convinced he was some hidden gem who was about to set the league on fire. It was like the joking here about Bobo, except people seemed to really be believing that Ursua was going to magically turn into a great NFL receiver.

Ursuselah's career numbers in the NFL: one reception for 11 yards. And if he'd gone for 12 yards (and into the end zone), the Seahawks would have won the division in 2019. Instead, three bad passes later (two incomplete, one complete short of the end zone), the Seahawks season was over.

So ..... looks like Quinton Bohanna won the nose tackle competition / elevation for week #1.

This promises to be an interesting week to week decision to follow.

Shaquill Griffin appears to have taken on the Artie Burns role.

The kid we claimed from Denver(?) looks like a very good return guy. Courtney or something like that, I think.

I think you’re thinking of Courtney Jackson. We actually didn’t claim him but instead signed him to the PS. He didn’t get elevated so we will have to wait and see if he’s any good or not.

Courtney Jackson was signed on August 28th. Probably needs more time to establish player/coach relationships and forge a team role.
