It’s an easy travel up the coast but the game would’ve been sold out either way. A game at a state of the art stadium like Lumen is a treat for 69er fans. They’re getting their ass kicked on Sunday anyways by the Hawks for a week one Hawk dub and a reality check for 69er fans but I hope they enjoy the experience of the architecture while getting bent over lol

A segment of those 9er invaders live in Oregon and Washington, hate to say it but it's true. Like some have said, the only way to deter them is to repeatedly send them home with a loss and make our venue less attractive.
Brock Purdy's record in Seattle is pretty stellar and probably has encouraged a tri-state 49er yearly trek to Lumen.
Nothing a couple of beatdowns won't solve. CMC & Kittle are getting long in the tooth.

As other's have said.... Winning will solve this. Ticket prices are expensive in Seattle. If you have the means and have the season tickets but the team is playing poorly and loosing is a real possibility, there is less incentive to go when you could be doing something else and get a return on your investment. On the filp side, if you're an opposing fan and there is a higher possibility your team will win against the Hawks, then you're more likely to pony up the dough to see your favorite team play if you are a transplant from somewhere or a fan of the opponant. If the Hawks start mashing teams then two things happen. A -- Season ticket holders will look forward to using their tickets because the team will be electric to watch and B -- less tickets being sold drives up prices as there is less supply and opposing fans are less likely to purchase higher priced tickets to watch their team get bullied. It's basic economics. Have a product that people want to see and the noise shall return.

JUST EFFING WIN.

I believe this is MM's focus. I believe it's the team's focus. The only thing left are solid victories and time. The stadium will change. Just watch.

It’s less of him being stellar and more of how much different the defense looked the second time around when stinky Geno Smith beat Cambpell in a foot race to the end zone at Levi. The defense since acquiring EJ is day and night better than the first go round. We need to just pound on Sunday

I expect a decent 49ers turnout. It's the kickoff weekend, hope runs eternal for all teams, a fair amount of 9ers fans travel easily on the west coast. However, excitement IS brewing for the Hawks so I expect it to be around 70% Seahawks fans, 30% 49ers fans, give or take.

There's always outliers (last year's GB game) but 70/30 tends to be the usual ratio for games against good teams and/or divisional rivals.

PS, may the 9ers die a slow death Sunday. Amen.

It has been very lame for the last couple three years when we lack a face of the team for fans to cheers for. Our lovely Jody fixed that problem, this season onwards, we have a legit face for Seahawks Nation.

Now, clicking on that link does not take me directly to a site that is actually selling tickets to the game this weekend. It's a season-ticket kind of website. The prices ain't cheap either. But, if there are tickets still available for the game at this late of a date, even the nosebleed seats, it does mean you could see a large contingent of 49er fans invading your home space this weekend.

How to put a stop to it? Winning solves a lot of ills. I do not know why the Seahawks have given the keys of the franchise to a player that has bounced around the league like a beach ball. It does not make sense to me. That kind of approach rarely works. But it is essentially what the brain trust has done. Again. Didn't work all that well with Geno. I'm not sure how it will work out with Darnold, either. Perhaps Milroe will be the answer? But, if that's the case, why isn't he starting? Why Darnold?

As for the 49ers, Darnold is facing a really young defense. Those can get carved up early in the season. The kids are not great right off the bat. They might get better as the season goes on. But, in game one? I would say that Seattle has the advantage. But, time will tell.

Long story short, our offense will carve up their defense. Fresh-Air's #1 defense? Dominate 9ers' offense

I completely agree. And I know I’m countering my OP, but this goes back to another thread from several months ago after the team released their statement regarding the sale of season tickets and how the team will be reviewing and potentially revoking season ticket holders (STH).

Initially, I was completely on the side of the team and bashed the STHs who were selling their seats. I said that if you’re the losers selling your season tickets all the time, do us all a favor and stop renewing them. Ffs, step aside and get out the way homie.

However, a few long time posters countered my harsh stance and essentially said that the tickets are theirs to do as they please, that the product on the field doesn’t warrant them to make the trip to the stadium, and it’s not their fault if other Seahawks fans aren’t buying the seats as there’s an equal opportunity.

Also, the YouTuber “Norbcam” made some valid points of saying hey, this is just as much the team’s fault. They’ve priced the average fan out of the stadium, the team doesn’t provide good perks to STHs for attending, and provided a solution for a platform of Seahawks fans only to buy and sell. Now, as far as the last point, I’m not sure how the team or anyone could control if someone buying a ticket online is a fan of a certain team.

So while yes, it’s quite frankly embarrassing seeing our stadium overrun by opposing fans, this is just as much the Seahawks fault as it is the 12s.
