I can’t think of a better stadium to win a Super Bowl in than Santa Clara Muni.

I heard it's a pain in the arse to get to. Am I wrong about this? I haven't been there.

I've been there once, 6-8 years ago, and it was in December, so the hot sun that so many people complain about wasn't present. I would imagine that driving there is a pain, but that's true of a lot of stadiums, including ours. Lambeau Field is in the middle of a residential neighborhood and is a huge pain in the ass to get to, worst I've ever seen.

The bar scene at Levi is pretty much absent, not many hotels within walking distance, no downtown area or views of the bay to give it some character. But you can say that about a lot of stadiums, in particular Kansas City's. We're very fortunate to have a stadium that's close to downtown and the waterfront, so you get all these shots of ferry boats crossing the sound, zoom out to the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier, etc.

My friends who have been to games there say that the Stadium is ok, but you're roasting in the sun all day. I just love that it's what 45 minutes fromi San Fran? They will forever be the Santa Clara 39ers in my book. And as always, F the Niners. Sincerely.

Went their once for a pac 12 title game. The field was horrible, falling apart and no footing for the players . Just strait garbage.

The game that me and Riverdog went to I agree with him. As far as getting there, I stayed in Sunnyvale and walked a mile to get to a rail system stop (Lockheed Martin) and the rail system seemed to be full and a decent ride. Leaving there were a lot of rails in and out of the area. So getting to the game is what it is. Agree about Green Bay with him too. Only about 3 local bars or food areas. Really lacking. Only one motel in the area of the stadium. Oh well.

I like Santa Clara, but it is definitely NOT near or anything like San Fran. It has a nice street full of shops / bars / restaurants (Santana Row) with some nice hotels - more like a date weekend kinda thing rather than anywhere to hang out when going a football game.

And that may not even be very close to the actual stadium (which I have not visited).

Yikes - just looked at the map and the Stadium is not anywhere near that.

I once left a game with 4th degree sun burns at Levi. They picked the worst place to put a football stadium. No shade or covered seating in what is more of a desert setting. Only cool thing is the San Jose airport is like a block away
