Why try and catch that, just call the fair catch and let it bounce. I get tracking the ball, but some spatial awareness would go a long way too. Just an unlucky situation honestly.
Exactly what I see, the GB player blocking with the Sea player
could in no way expect Bobo to run almost 15 yards to the area
they were in, total fluke this happened.
Should have been a let it bounce.

Horton is our punt returner when healthy. Bobo is a good special teams player tho tbh I’m not sure I would have him returning punts
IMO Simms is our best and most dependable returner but he is currently sidelined with a hammy. I would not risk Horton or Bobo for that task.

With Bobo's concussion, I have adjusted my season projection from playing in conference championship to winning NFCW.

Get well Bobo!

Meh… I don’t blame the coaches. I blame the Gb player who drove the other Seattle player into bobo, the. Slid on him to get the ball.. and the officials who clearly during joint practices and this game, “let GB” play while Seattle was on a tight leash. Player safety wasn’t a concern it appears. Even afterwards when Seattle knew something was wrong and immediately kneed and called for trainers at the officials ignored what was going on at first as well as the GB players and team, who kept walking over and around the two unconscious players laying there.
I have no idea how that wasn’t called. Bobo called for the fair catch and the f’n GB player pushed 35 right into Bobo’s path and then the refs just stood around like idiots.

I looked up the actual language of the rule afterwards to make sure that was still a penalty cause I couldn’t believe the incompetence I was witnessing:
  1. If a receiver has made a fair catch, an opponent is prohibited from unnecessarily contacting or tackling him, or causing a passive player of either team to unnecessarily contact him. Incidental contact is not a foul.
Penalty: For illegal contact with a player who has made a fair catch: Loss of 15 yards from the dead-ball spot and disqualification if flagrant.

No idea how that wasn’t called

Preseason. Maybe some of the refs were third or fourth stringers hoping to land a job.

Not only that, but they blew the play dead before any GB player when Bobo was on the ground with the ball, yet they said it was a fumble and GB ball.

Did you watch the full game? A lot of calls were missed - it was designed to give the fans what they wanted - last chance in preseason to haul in some cash money

There should be a system implemented where refs can be penalized for gross incompetence.

May be the "Incidental contact is not a foul."??

Sucks it happened. Its football. Hope Bobo will be ok. But the refs screwed up here on multiple levels. And it will continue into the regular season. They are truly ruining the game with their incompetence. And it seems to get worse every year.

I get that Bobo was running up to make the fair catch and not just standing there so it makes it a little harder to call. But that GB player knew exactly what he was doing. He put #35 in a position to get f’d up on purpose, and I’m pretty sure he tore either his ACL or MCL. That looked bad

Our #35? Who was the player that might have suffered an unnecessary injury?

Yeah it was totally incidental. The blocking into Bobo was not intentional. I think if anyone is to blame it would have to be Bobo, but tough spot to be in to make an instant decision like that

The Seattle player wasn’t passive, and I dont give the Green Bay player that much credit to have made that block on purpose
