Makes sense, I'm sure they want to start things off running down hill with Ouzts & Charbs. Hit the 9ers hard in the mouth with this growling OLine early and then let KWlll finish them off with big chunks in the 2nd half.

I don't care about the "starter' designation. I fully expect to see Walker and Charbonnet operate as a one/two punch in all games this season. I also to see RB3 get snaps, especially on third down. But Outz might limit that last idea cause besides his blocking ability he has proven to be a solid catcher too.

K9 is still listed as the 1st string RB on the Seahawks.com depth chart. I think that's about as official as it gets.

Having said that, I agree with Appyhawk that it probably doesn't matter anyway. I very much doubt that they will use either of them as a bell cow type that's gets the overwhelming majority of the snaps, with the other only getting a handful here and there. I do think K9 will get more if healthy, but not by a huge margin. (and yeah, the if healthy part is a big if).

K9 is being held out to keep him fresh. Reports from practice was that he busted a 30 yard run, and then Mac had him sit the rest of the time. He has been explosive, they just don’t want him getting hurt before the season starts

He’s already hobbled though from what they’re saying

Exactly. Doesn't matter who gets it done. Just get it done. I don't care if they split time all season. Just want them to pound the hell out of the rock. And win...a LOT.

It probably solves two problems at once. Charbonnet is better with more carries, Walker might be more durable in a change-of-pace role against a worn down defense.

I thought K9 was being limited in practice due to the foot. As in, let's not subject this guy to getting hit more times than he needs to be. He's still in there working with the RB coaches and such.

To use a baseball analogy, K9 is a big swinging HR hitter who strikes out way too much... while Charbs is a singles and doubles hitter that usually keeps the ball in play and rarely strikes out.

Over the long run, give me Charbs every day of the week... and twice on Sunday!

Nah, he's not the better back, just the more durable one. Doesn't need to be a Charbs vs. K9 thing all the time. Again, we have two good backs. That's a good thing. But I'll just get called a K9 lover. Not sure when it became taboo to stick up for players you like. But damn, I certainly get blasted for it. First Russ, then DK, and now K9. I'm here for it. It be what it be. It's all opinions, and that's cool 🍺

If we're making comparisons, Walker is closer to an Alvin Kamara type of back than Charbs is.

It's a hell of a 1-2 punch. Perfect for Kubiak and what he likes to do. Having an actual FB is going to be huge, imo.

Well, maybe if they actually threw him some screen passes? Get him in the open field one on one, good luck defenses. I hope to see an offense this year that actually knows how to use the talent they have.

Seattle has been immune to utilizing the screen game, lol. I don't get it. Lynch was a beast catching stuff out of the backfield, but even then it was a pretty rare to see. I want to finally see it implemented properly.
