How many rookies start this year?

I am not talking about 17 game starters, I am talking 1 plus games. I feel like this was one of the best drafts of all time and the Seahawks got some immediate starters out of it.

Zabel, Nick E, Arroyo, Mills, Ouzts and even Milroe all get at least 1 start.

Only 13 QBs started all 17 games last year. This favors the Seahawks starting multiple QB's and I think Milroe beats out Lock.

Zabel for sure.

Arroyo if they start a game in a two TE formation.

Ouzts if he beats out brady Russell for the FB job, in games where they start with a FB on the field.

Emmanwori in games where they start in a nickle, dime or three safety package.

Starts isn't what you should be looking for, what you want to look for is snap totals. For example, for all intents and purposes Mack Strong was a starting FB, but in 2005 he only started in 6 of 16 games, and 104 of 201 overall.

Hard to say for sure without seeing them in training camp yet but there are a few already mentioned that seem likely to play but maybe not start.

Zabel - Day 1 starter
Emmanwori - Will play but it'll be hard to displace Love and Bryant as starters
Arroyo - Could start over Valdes-Scantling at some point (suggestions he could be a WR instead of a TE)
Cabeldue - Sadly, has a real shot at starting RG since our stable of guards has been so weak

Not Emmanwori? I would figure he has a good chance to start..no?
He'll make contributions at nickel and dime. He's not supplanting Bryant or Love in a traditional safety role. This is a great breakdown:

This is just an opinion from another YouTube expert. Ask yourselves, what could this YouTuber know that our own John Schneider does not? Would Schneidr traded up to draft him in round 2 if he is a project? Would John?

Love has a PFF of 81.2
Bryant has a PFF of 72.8

Gonna be hard to displace either as a rookie. Maybe by the end of the season. Emmanwori will still play though.

Did you watch the video? The analysis is good.

And ya, he would. Emmanwori can contribute immediately as a rover/nickle/dime while his zone awareness develops. Mcdonald is on the record as saying that is where he'll make an immediate impact.

Both safeties es were top 16 safeties in the league last year. MM said Emmanwori will learn safety but mostly play nickel and dime this year.

I did, and I quite like how he presented his opinions. I subscribed to his channel. This is the off-season, this is the time of the year our GM and coaches can do no wrong. Cold, hard reality will come once the season starts.

Nick E's path to be our (Kyle Hamilton) Swiss army knife will probably start out with about 30% snaps increasing to 70% as the season progresses. I don't claim to be real familiar with MM's defense but I'm sure he will see a lot of George Kittle, Tyler Higbee, Terrance Ferguson and Trey McBride. I'm sure run-support and blitz packages will be part of the learning curve.
Have high hopes for Emmanwori after watching Kam & Easley play.

Well, considering the 2024 running backs we have aren't tough enough for 17 weeks of 20+ carries.....Beastmode 2.0

Probably Arroyo too if we start some games in two TE looks.
They may be looking at more of a receiver role for Arroyo:

https://www.fieldgulls.com/2025/5/4...lijah-arroyo-be-used-seattle-seahawks-offense

Schneider said some Seahawks coaches see Elijah Arroyo as a potential X receiver. “Full route tree, super explosive. This guy is special.”

https://www.draftsharks.com/shark-bites/78272/seahawks-see-wr-skill-set-in-elijah-arroyo

HC Mike Macdonald: "Eljiah Arroyo can run an extensive route tree. He can split out wide and do 'X' receiver-type things. Bigger body, provides a ton of value.
