I read somewhere, wish I could find that article some time back..where a players agents will float information to various sources (leaks) with the intention of initiating interest for the players they represent. It was an interesting read. Perhaps where a lot of rumors take place as well.

I remember an article about the same in trying to boost their clients worth for their next contract. Almost like a cold call for a job to generate interest.

We don't know if Amari Cooper has had a sharp decline. The QB situation in Cleveland has been a joke and he clearly didn't mesh with Allen in Buffalo. Is this all because Cooper's skills are in decline or because he didn't have a stable QB situation last year? I think it's too early to call it either way and for the right price I'd be willing to take a flyer on the guy to find that out.

You could be right. I do think Cooper has a great deal of talent and I've been high on him for a while, but watching him last season, he looked like he either doesn't have it anymore or like he was completely checked out. I'm not sure which is worse. I wouldn't bother with him, but if we got him cheap, I'd just be like "alright, whatever". Not like it would prevent us from making other moves.

Since we didn't grab a WR so far, do we reach out and see what it would take to get Cooper as insurance with upside? Especially with Cooper Kupp's injury history and MVS consistency issues. I would take a flier on him.
